Warning: Spoilers
With guest star Ricardo Montalban as the owner of a neighboring hotel who claims that the Golden Palace parking lot is on his hotel's property and Cheech Marin (as Chewie) recalling his humiliation as a kid playing volleyball (which gave him the nickname of Senor Stinky), this Latin flavored episode has a lot of funny moments, a rarity in the show's brief run. Blanche instantly gets the hots for Senor Montalban, as sexy as ever, and there are a lot of sexual innuendos dropped in every line she speaks in his direction. It's very funny throughout, as in laugh out loud funny. Cheech and Rose join Roland and the pool man on the hotel's beach volleyball team, and they stink worse than Rose's most outlandish St. Olaf story. Rose even pulls out of the closet her St. Olaf High Volleyball jersey to play cheerleader when it is proven that she's as bad as Cheech. Of course, Sophia taunts Rose with her ridiculously over the top cheers, some of which go on far too long, distracting both teams. There's a very funny closing scene over the credits that is probably one of the best moments of the series, as well as its parent show, "Golden Girls".
