"The Witness" marked Theodore Wilson's sixth (of seven) appearances as Sweet Daddy Williams. JJ tells the family about the accident he witnessed, a pink Cadillac driver swerving off the sidewalk to hit a taxi broadside, too dark to be able to identify the culprit. When Sweet Daddy Williams drops by, they learn soon enough that the driver was his main squeeze, Savannah Morgan (Beverly Hope Atkinson), and he's out to convince JJ not to testify against her in court. Sweet Daddy approves of JJ's change of story, putting words in his mouth rather than teeth out of his mouth! What neither of them knows is that JJ's brother-in-law Keith was behind the wheel of the taxi, just starting his new job as a cab driver. When the moment of truth arrives, JJ recalls that he's double parked, though Sweet Daddy reminds him he doesn't have a car: "oh my God, they must have towed it!" In his first appearance in "Sweet Daddy Williams," his lady was named Savannah Jones, played by Bebe Drake-Hooks.
