I am a big fan of It Takes a Thief and found this to be one of the best episodes in the series. Even for its day this was a very progressive episode. Combining Mundy with an aged British agent on her last mission the writers and producers manage to introduce some of social issues just coming of age for the era. Robert Wagner does a more then credible job of portraying respect and admiration for Miss Mollie's knowledge, capabilities, expertise, intelligence and daring. Much of the story revolves around Miss Mollie being detained behind East German lines, after the successful completion of the primary theft, and Mundy's bold and daring rescue of her. Not to spoil the episode but Mundy relies on the "oldest trick of them all" to help spring Miss Mollie. You will have to watch it to see. Somehow, in Elsa Lanchester's portrayal of Miss Mollie Taylor, I see the emergence of the character Jessica Fletcher from "Murder, She Wrote" as portrayed by Angela Lansbury. In the final scenes Wagner's endearing tribute and respect for Miss Mollie will bring a big smile to your face if not a tear to your eye.
