I think this is one of the better episodes of 'Lou Grant' because the dialogue seems to come from real-life interviews that writer April Smith probably did before she wrote the script. To me, that says the series is responsibly presenting controversial issues. Also, I think it is significant how the episode is written by a woman and becomes Billie's story, not Rossi's story. The scenes where the men in the office ogle the women behind their backs and the fact that the women are without a support system is mind boggling. There were a lot of ways this story could've been written and told, but I think the choice of scenes was very good. And the ending has a delicious irony.
