There's Always Room for One More
Hitchcoc14 March 2015
A helicopter pilot, affectionately known as "Smilin' Jack" needs to deliver three more casualties to tie the record. Sadly, it turns out he is diabetic and is flying under the radar. Potter realizes he has the correct symptoms and grounds him. He will be going home. This episode focuses on the whole ugly process of getting guys out of harm's way and getting them treated. There is a subplot involving a young guy who is getting his second Purple Heart. He begins to feel that there is something in him that produces a death wish. Actually, he is pretty much like any normal guy who has had to face what he faces. This episode is pretty simple and not remarkable in any way. Still, the guy who plays Jack is quite charismatic.

Smilin' Jack should have had his own series

Warning: Spoilers
Robert Hogan plays Smilin' Jack Mitchell, a helicopter pilot with diabetes. He's not at all happy that he will be medically retired. There should have been a spin-off series featuring Smilin' Jack and his helicopter rescues across South Korea.
