The end of an era...

Warning: Spoilers
Season 4 finale marks the end of Melrose Place's golden age. The rest of the series may be entertaining, and including the best new characters, like Lexi. With some of the show's greatest episodes. But things will never be as exciting as it used to be. These last few episodes introduced us to one of season 5 new regulars, Samantha Riley. And the very last, to its most anticipated episode, Last Exit to Ohio. This is also the part where the Jake/Alison/Billy love triangle is at its height, when roles are reversed. And it's Billy who gets heartbroken this time. Only for someone who seems to be the right one for Alison. The whole mental institute/Bobby's death storyline come full circle, with one last jaw dropping revelation. And it's the last we'll be seeing of the Jo character. Matt is doing god knows why, when writers are just recycling old BH 90210 storylines with him. And last but not least, Jane and Sidney have their own sisters bounding time, when their plan of murdering Richard discreetly, goes awry. In case viewers were not excited to come back next year, enough. The episode ends, with his trembling hand, rising from his muddy grave. It's a fine season finale, but honestly nothing compared to the previous ones. I'm glad to see the Sting song, during the areal view, made it to the DVDS and streaming as well.
