Princess Kitana holds the "Essence", described as a living mythical force, and wants to take it from Outworld to Earth. She is asking Kung Lao for help, after all he's the last winner of Mortal Kombat. But a guest from Outworld is not to be trusted easily, and they start a fight. Shang Tsung has his spies everywhere and finds this very amusing, hoping that Kitana might kill his enemy for him...
