Average Gunn, but with a good hook and some clever lines. The plot's kind of complicated, involving quite a few people, so you may need the proverbial scorecard. So who's framing Pete's buddy, Gil, the golf pro. There's a rich family he's marrying into, so he better look out. One big plus for the series is how well Stevens and Bernardi play off one another as detective and cop. That smoothness is very evident here. Anyway, there's another good series plus, at least one colorful street character. This time Nesdon Booth as the grouchy short order cook. And how about the short order waitress for an imaginative touch. All in all, however, the entry is entertaining but nothing special.
