I like and enjoy this tv series. It is one the best and funniest tv shows of it's time. Most of the shows are very-good. Some are actually great. The law of averages inevitably gives us a few mediocre episodes and even a few duds.
This episode here is one of the duds. Why? Believe it or not,it is a dud because of the co-star,Dick Van Dyke.
As hard as it may be to believe,Dick Van Dyke's character portrayal goes SO far overboard that it honestly ruins the whole episode.
Now let me say clearly that I really like Dick Van Dyke. Of course he isn't perfect as an actor,but he is almost-always very-good to excellent with all of the different parts and characters he portrays in movies and TV shows.
The character portrayal by Dick Van Dyke here is awful. Why? Because it is way,way,WAY overdone. It could have been so-much better if just a little bit of restraint had been exercised with the part that Mr. Van Dyke portrayed.3/10.
