When I first saw that this episode featured Sammy Davis Jr as a gunfighter, I was somewhat skeptic about the situation. I have nothing against Mr Davis but I have seen where famous stars just do not live up to the standards of a weekly series. But after watching I can say that Mr Davis did an outstanding job of making the character come to life and the episode's story much better.
The story begins with a gunslinger, Tip Corey played by Davis, rides into North Fork making everyone uncomfortable. When Micah confronts Corey about leaving North Fork, Corey tells him that by sundown he will have the Marshal's badge and will rub it in the dirt.
But do not be taken up by the harsh words spoke. Even though Corey has a reputation of being a killer there is a side of Corey that just wants to live without having to prove anything to anyone. But it seems that all Corey has is his reputation and he cannot find a way to be release from the grip of what people believe.
Lucas gets Micah to leave town and he pins on the badge. Corey is ready to leave North Fork but he still has one more task to prove. He has got to live up to his reputation.
I was worried at the start of the show but those emotions fled very quickly into the broadcast. This episode turned out to be an interesting tale that keep the viewer's attention the entire time. Even with some of the later shows being lackluster, this episode brought back all the excitement of the series. Good watch.
