I wasn't so impressed by this one.

I have only seen a couple of these Sherlock Holmes televisions shows that starred Ronald Howard. This one is definitely better of the two, though I would exactly call it an inspired version of the Conan Doyle character.

When the show begins, there is some odd banter between Watson and Holmes--and it seems very unlike their characters in the original stories. But, this is something I could live with--even though I am admittedly a purist when it comes to the Holmes stories.

Soon a lady named Miss Channing arrives at the apartment and she is seeking Holmes' help locating her lost fiancé, Mr. Cartwright. It seems that the guy was in a very good mood and there was no reason for him to disappear. When she followed the trail to a manor home in Scotland, Greystone Castle, the trail ended, as the folks that lived there were very uncooperative. At first, she thought that maybe her fiancé hadn't been there, but soon she finds evidence he is--so that is why she is seeking his help. As for the rest of the story, it's mildly interesting but the ending made no sense at all. After all, if the Lord of the manor is evil, why would he make an agreement to cooperate with Holmes?

The Case of the Greystone Inscription
Prismark1025 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It is the case of the missing fiance. Millicent Channing consults Holmes and Watson about her fiance who made an important discovery.

He went to visit Sir Greystone in his castle and never returned.

Millicent Channing did the same. She saw both Sir Thomas Greystone and her son who claimed not to see her fiance.

She thought their behaviour was odd and found some evidence that they were lying.

Holmes believes that her fiance's research led to clues of some treasure that was hidden in the castle. Treasure that now belongs to the crown.

A strange story, it becomes a treasure hunt where only Holmes can decipher what looks like simple clues.

Everyone forgot about the whereabouts of the fiance.
