One of the Best Sideshow Bob Episodes
tequila1019 August 2010
This is another classic Sideshow Bob episode that all will fall in love with because this episode seems to take a deeper turn and a wilder fall into Sideshow Bob's life - His Brother.

The episode flows along like any Sideshow Bob episode and then he is released from prison once again. Sideshow Bob then goes and work with his brother Cecil at dam trying to build up on concrete or something like that. Bart & Lisa seem suspicious of Bob's intentions and what he might pull. Towards the end of the episode Cecil takes the money from Bob and then plans to blow up the dam with Bob, Bart & Lisa. Cecil gets caught and goes back to jail and even as Bob had saved the children's lives, he had to go back to jail to. lol This episode is More funnier than the other SideShow Bob episodes though I really love this one because it's so intense and this episode just seems to come together in the first minute. 9.4/10

Bob episodes are often boring
nicofreezer18 March 2022
Not boring but inferior than the average, his character is not that entertaining and always the same story. Decent episode anyway. But the weakest by far from an Amazing season 8.

It's Not Just a Sideshow
Hitchcoc6 August 2022
Sideshow Bob is back. He meets up with his brother. The two characters are voiced by Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde-White who, of course, starred on Frasier. The murderous Bob confronts Bart but he has learned his lesson. Unfortunately, fame can be negative as well as positive.

Frasier is a popular show on NBC
freemantle_uk29 July 2008
This is easily my favourite Sideshow Bob episode and is the best one made. It features Kelsey Grammar as Sideshow Bob and has David Hyde Pierce playing Cecil, Bob's brother.

The plot of the episode is Bob became a model prisoner and is recommended for early release. His brother Cecil offers him a job to supervise the construction of the new Springfield dam. However, Bart does not true Bob's intentions and tries to investigation.

A lot of the humour is based on Frasier, and this episode combines the best of the Simpsons and Frasier. Grammar and Pierce pretty much play the same characters on that show in this show. As well as the sibling bickering, there are moments of comedy genius ranging from great lines like 'You'll live to regret this', and psychical gags like when Bart and Bob are falling down the dam. Frasier is obviously referenced a lot in this episode. The episode also ways as a good thriller. This episode is a great example of the Simpsons at their best. This is the last good Sideshow Bob episode. Italian Bob was okay, but still not as good the previous Sideshow Bob episodes.

This episode is easily a classic.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm watching through the Simpson's for the first time, beginning to current. I've watched Frasier previous to this (but after watching Cheers), and from the episodes of The Simpsons I've seen thus far, this was absolutely, without a doubt, a Top 3 episode! What are the other 2? Probably a couple of the Treehouse of Horrors, I don't know. This episode was incredibly well written and incorporated perfect amount of jokes and nuggets from both series, allowing it to become an instant classic (assuming you've seen, and like, both series)!

Another classic Sideshow Bob episode!
MarkLynnIreland129421 June 2022
This is undoubtedly another favourite The Simpsons episode based around Bart Simpson's archenemy: Sideshow Bob.

The plot of the episode is Bob becoming a model prisoner and is recommended for an earl release, despite objections from public, even a terrified Bart. Bob meets with his brother Cecil which the two rekindle their history even involved Cecil being upstaged by Bob at Krusty's auditions.

It's no surprise Cecil is voiced by David Hyde Pierce who played Kelsey Grammer character's brother Niles Crane in Frasier.

Bart eventually saves Bob after they plummet down the side of the dam, and protruding pipe breaks their fall, bet Bob feels it painfully helpful on impact, LOL!

... a slight ringing in your ears

Sideshow Bob is released from prison and lives with his brother Cecil.

This is a great episode with strong humour and character moments.

Television crossovers rarely work, but this one does. Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce performing The Simpsons writers' material is a fantastic combination. They are Frasier and Niles in everything but name and the outrageous plot makes the best of both worlds.

There are so many funny lines and sight gags it's hard to pick a favourite, but every scene involving Cecil is pure gold as he does the impossible and outshines everyone else. I also like Krusty's Johnny Cash parody.
