A young woman lives with a horrible disfiguring disease which showed up when she was a small child. She has had numerous unsuccessful surgeries. She has been treated as a monster. Mark Harmon is going to make an effort to put everything he knows into bringing some normalcy to her appearance. The second plot is an anniversary party for the Craigs where the good doctor is rude to guests and lashes out against his brother whom he sees as worthless. There is an ugly scene which stops everyone in their tracks.
