A friend of General Savage is the pilot of one of the bombers in his group. This friend (Tim O'Connor) is about to be sent home, as his tour of duty is nearly complete. However, on the final mission, the man's plane is shot down. Fortunately, he and most of his cred manage to bail out....but unfortunately, the factory they were bombing decides to keep them there for a few days. That way, if the bombers return, the downed crew will be killed along with them...or, perhaps, the Americans will decide not to bomb the place because of this.
Generally, this was an excellent episode. The only part that didn't really ring true was the daring escape at the end...it just didn't seem very realistic. Otherwise, compelling and worth seeing.
