An adventure in an unmerciful world. Warning: Spoilers
Flash Gordon, Dale Arden and Dr. Zarkov find themselves (IMO) in one of the most merciless worlds that fiction has ever produced. Not because of their cannibal plants or the strength of the different enemies, but because according to Thun, a curious being half man half lion that later becomes one of Flash's most highly valued allies:

"Every race on Mongo is an enemy to every other race"

An adventure set in an planet as ruthless as his emperor "Ming The Merciless" himself whose mission is to prevent Mongo from colliding with Earth, only to discover that the trajectory of Mongo is traced by Ming the Merciless himself. Ming's plan is not a direct collision but a miss sufficiently close to create the necessary cataclysm to disrupt our world, destroying any kind of resistance for the forces of Merciless Ming to invade it.

An adventure that starts promptly and immediately delivers you to the action, with good and detailed animation, and (IMO) with very good characters too. A small jewel for sci-fi, fantasy and action lovers whose merit is even greater for having been produced many years before computerized animation was available. An small jewel from the late 70's with few episodes but nonetheless with all the merits necessary to be a classic.
