BLEEDING ROSE is a wannabe blaxploitation thriller, shot on video and shot on the street by the look of it. It's ostensibly about a young woman who finds herself targeted by a serial killer, but a horror film it isn't because the horror content is virtually nil. Indeed nothing much happens at all until the last five minutes, and before then we get endless yik-yak and little else.
The unknown cast members don't really excel here; the acting isn't awful but it is unmemorable. The only familiar face is Willie Carpenter, an actor who previously appeared in John Woo's HARD TARGET. The dialogue scenes are long-winded and used for padding purposes and the whole thing feels like nothing more than a time waste.
