In the 1970s, there was a hellish day of tornadoes that struck the South, Midwest and even into Canada. Nearly 150 tornadoes were spotted and the damage was huge--with over 300 fatalities and hundreds of millions of dollars in damage. This short film is a dramatization of that day--with narration, interviews and actual footage shot during that awful day. Of all the things you could take from the film is that the big cities fared much better than small...perhaps because of luck but also due, in part, with having early warning systems which the small towns lacked.
The is a rather unpleasant film...which it should be. It certainly is not the sort of thing most people would want to watch but it have historical value..hence I am not going to give this one a numerical score.
