Lucien Cazalis is very excited to be working for a bank. His first assignment is to go to a town and collect a debt. When he arrives, his eccentric choice of hats makes the locals think he is a dignitary they have been expecting.
That's about it for this short comedy directed by Emile Cohl, and given those details, you won't be surprised to find that I don't think it's particularly good, especially if you looked at the title of my review.
Cazalis certainly gives his best to the effort, mugging it up, but there's little to do with the material but get it over with. Perhaps it would have worked as a et-up for a longer comedy, but this is only half a reel in length.
