I don't believe in the supernatural or the paranormal. I had to suspend disbelief to watch this movie and I successfully did so. I must say that it was a good movie to watch despite my feelings towards the supernatural thing.
It is possible though to explain most of the movie scenes as hallucinations on the part of Sandra Bullock and that all of these dreams and hallucinations occurred after the actual fateful events of Jim's death and her daughter's injury although the actual events did not happen exactly as shown in the hallucination part. Yup that explains from my point of view.
