Ending Moral...
dan-bgb27 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Since virtually everyone has been killed off in the previous episodes, the annoying 'moralism' finally stopped too...or has it ? Surprises galore...up to, and including the last scene. So...what IS the moral ? That we should do good all the time...and that even if we slip only once, it can have adverse consequences...

Strong finish
gridoon202418 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The third season of "Slasher" got off to a shaky start, but it found its footing in its second half, and the last couple of episodes were pin-drop intense. This season also ups the ante in gore - it is extremely gruesome and unrelentingly nasty, with generally very convincing makeup and gore effects. I'm not kidding here, if you have even a mild aversion to blood and body parts, this is not the series for you. I would rank the three seasons 2>1>3, though I would recommend all of them to fans of the genre. But if you just want to check out one season, choose the second. *** out of 4.

I Thought This Was Good

Warning: Spoilers
I just binged watched the whole of season 3 of this show.I thought this was pretty good really good make up effects regarding the killing scenes.Interesting twist at the end but a little bit unconvincing when you find out who the killer or killers are.Plus the Nazi supremacist guy definetly should have been wasted. But other than that I liked it.

Decent final episode to a decent season
acedj7 January 2021
This review is more for the season than the episode, though I will touch on that as well. I have seen quite a few people hating on this season and I am not quite sure as to why. Certainly the first season was the best and probably will not be topped, but this one had a lot to offer. The writing has improved as has the choice in actors since season one, though the story is not as rich.

I do feel that this season especially tries to climb up on a platform and teach us the viewers a morality lesson, but so hasn't every piece of media we have consumed over our lives, some are just better at hiding the obviousness of it than others.

I did figure out who the killer was pretty early on, though there were enough red herrings thrown in to keep me from being 100% certain, so kudos to the writers on that. This episode does a nice job at tying up all the mystery that the season has presented and even allows for the redemption of some characters, though I personally did not care to see them redeemed. Just a great over-all series here.

Great finale
jellelefevre28 May 2019
I've heard some people say the season wasn't worth watching, but I feel different! In my opinion, it was a great, really interesting season with a lot of complots. The season ended with a great end. I am seriously glad I've watched this story. Now, stop reading and go watch this series! You won't be disappointed at all!

Art and perfection at everything it wants to be
walkerrowsey23 June 2019
The show as a whole, specifically season 3 and this episode does a phenomenal job at absolutely everything it tries to be and do. It's difficult to discuss any of the show without spoilers, let alone this episode, so just know that it's absolute art. I'm not certain a more fun, beautiful, and unique critique and examination of our society can be made, especially given our sensitivities, today. By not shying away from caricaturing and lambasting all identities and walks of life in our society, "Slasher" is able to force us to empathise with those we would otherwise not even consider associating. In many ways, this season is representative of the duelling communities of President 44 and 45 supporters-something I'd go into further if it wouldn't spoil the entire season for the reader of this review. Our society does an amazing job of creating villains for us to hate and focus on, and this show moves to remind us that those villains are rarely the evil they appear-in fact, most of the time, they're the ones we should be moving to aid more than any other.

On a side note: the characters referring to each other as their societal caricatures is a stroke of fracking thematic and comedic genius. "Rent Boy," "VR Slut," "Hipster Barista"... the series cements the new social archetypes our society has created and forces us to look at them in the same way the Greeks looked st their Gods, Monsters, and Myths. I could write an entire paper on this aspect of the show alone- Which will undoubtedly continue into the future and lead to the development of a new (to modern society), distinct, and unique genre of story telling.

Surprising amount of depth
cam264 October 2019
Personally, I thought this was utterly brilliant. As a fan of all things slasher-genre related, I was expecting something fairly decent, after the first 2 seasons, but this one totally blew me away. Not your typical blood-and-guts slasher fare (although there was plenty of that). But a thoughtful, thought-provoking meditation on race relations, internet shaming, multiculturalism, and the social contract. This is horror at its best. And, in spite of the killings being TOTALLY brutal, the killer's (or killers', no spoilers) motivation was not only understandable but extremely sympathetic. I think they hit this one out of the park. (Also, in addition to being Tori Spelling's husband, Dean McDermott is actually a pretty damn fine actor.)

It takes a lot to get here...
Ir8Acrobat31 May 2019
This season started out absolutely horrendous, where through the first four episodes I thought I wouldn't even be able to finish it. The last four episodes somewhat make up for the first four, but still make you realize there is so much trash filler throughout this season that it should have just been an hour and a half movie. I won't spoil the blatant "edgy" and current stereotypes of these people, but just be warned this is season will test your patience at every level.

The whole season is 7/10. However...

Warning: Spoilers
My review contains a major spoiler!!!!!

Do NOT read if you don't wanna know the end.

This was my first season to watch so I can't compare it to any other seasons. I'm probably the minority here to rate this season rather low.

Well, I have a few complaints. Why didn't they keep the fairly nice characters? The teacher? Angel? I mean Amber is also a victim here, she's lost her partner. Did they really explain why they killed the teacher? I know Jen says she is fake nice, but what did she really do to deserve it? Angel was treated like a crap from everyone, and yet he was trying to be nice to people even to the pricks. I'm quite sick of watching someone dies although there's a chance to be saved by giving them CPR in horror movies. Whether it would succeed or not, gets killed while helping someone, I think it could be refreshing to see it. If Dan was a militia, he should know how to do it, by the way.

I'm not bragging at all, but unfortunately I predicted who the killers were pretty early on. I was really afraid that was the case because they were so sympathetic and I wanted them to be more the victims than the evil killers.

I thought the show was telling us that karma was a b****, but in the end no one was really innocent. I'm glad that they didn't kill all the characters, it would have made me feel better if they kept a few more 'good neighbours' alive though.

Nonetheless, there are many moments that I enjoy quite a bit. Especially the gores are good! All that nudity makes this show trashy and you see a lot of morally wrong people here, but it's also satisfying to see them get their just end.

What happened?
vandendamtim29 June 2019
Season one and two are surprisingly entertaining. Then season three comes along and it's the worst season of any show I've ever seen. That's a shame. Hope that if they ever make a fourth season it's better then this garbage.

So... is the writer an idiot or is this supposed to show the killers are idiots?
anthonytravaglini-9913014 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
"Cops didn't care when black people died, they only cared when white people died"

The first kill was a white dude and cops didn't do a thing.. then a black person killed themselves... ruined the entire season because they tried to be woke and failed miserably.
