Could not believe it was real, I was astounded!

This documentary god me out of my shoes! At the end I had to convince myself that it was a not a fiction. What a jump: from the atheist USSR to having the Orthodox church hand in hand with the government! Communist cult? Maybe.... Personally I am not pro, nor anti religion but this documentary describes the surreal community living in this village, which can be either beneficial or detrimental or both for these people. Democracy did not work for the Russians that have the servitude deep ingrained in their genes. Having a Tsar, or a communist Dictator for centuries these people did not understand how to grab that freedom, and usually people start hating that what they don't understand. And I guess this documentary reveals what they have decided to do about it: going back to the comfort zone of being ruled. The West never counted on the communist curse: Over 55 years of communist propaganda has rendered a confused population. And the old Kremlin elite is now their savior.
