There is insufficient material in this story to justify putting it on the screen. If there is in it a momentary feeling of suspense, of heart interest or if there is a thrill of any sort, the writer failed to connect with it A policeman on duty is transferred to a downtown section, why, we did not see; there he is given charge of a baby left in a department store; about to take it to the station he witnesses a barroom fight. He puts the baby in an automobile and enters the saloon. A man hiding goes out of the door twenty feet ahead of him. By the time the policeman emerges more than ten seconds seem to have elapsed. It turns out later that the man who is caught, has a reward hanging over him for a thousand dollars. Also it develops that the baby, which he finally gets to the station, is his own. - The Moving Picture World, October 11, 1913
