Watched and enjoyed at home when it screened on Prime video as part of SXSW. It had a smooth, often haunting, vibe, a mood created by the uncomfortably close it was shot while also being set during a rain storm, in stark beautiful lighting. I feel like the success of this film was a combo of the way it was shot and the realistic nature of the acting. It reminded me of the feeling I was going for with a film project I'm working on, but it's rare to see represented so well.

the escape

Well use of the light, good acting, delicacy of sketch being realistic in fair terms, great portrait of abuse and love and need to escape from a terrible nightmare. So, just great. First , for inspired performance of Josh Lerner.
