Nicely handled and the story gets hold

This picture follows along old lines, but is nicely handled and the story gets hold. The father, who will not let his daughter marry a poor man, goes back to his old home for a visit. Here fond memories return of his own early days, when his wife's father opposed him for the same reasons. His wife follows him back to the old home and there are some affecting scenes when they agree to the daughter's choice. The acting in this was very natural and pleasing throughout and the photography good. - The Moving Picture World, July 26, 1913
