It has it's good points, but it's so slow for the most part.

What is going on with the 1 and 10 star reviews, don't take any notice of either, there is nothing here to evoke some polarising views either way.

It's been a hit and miss series, in my opinion this finale is somewhat of a disappointment, I've enjoyed chunks of this series, and struggled with other parts.

I found the story a little iffy here, other episodes had much better content, and as for Adam.....if you've seen Scary movie, he reminds me of Officer Doofy, he's a bit of a fool, you imagine he'd trip over his own shoelaces several times a day.

It's been slated for not featuring He-Man, and I'm sorry, but that has become an issue. We are made to wait a long time to hear those words....

I love the animation, visually it's felt very much like a continuation of the classic series, I hope the next episodes get us back on track, we need some good old fashioned villainy, hopefully, judging by the ending, we'll get it.

6/10.

Ignore the low reviews! Bad faith morons trying to rig it.

Having been a fan of MOTU as a kid, I was well up for its return. I knew it was a little hokey after re-watching them as an adult, so the hokeyness here is absolutely fine. The story is good and does something the original series never did. Plot twists.

How sad and pathetic it is then that a labour of love from a fan has been hijacked by idiots behind their keyboards who got together, and rated en masse to bring its score down on here and Rotten Tomatoes.

I really enjoyed these 5 episodes and am looking forward to more. If you're not one of the embarrassing trolls, then watch it and you'll see I'm right.

What a way to end this chapter.

Warning: Spoilers
So a few necessary spoilers in order to review this episode independently. This episode is jam packed full of fan service. From the reappearance of Adam, to our first glimpse at King Grayskull, He-Ro, Vikor, and Wun-Dar. The toyline of Motu Revelation released before the show's premier date gave us a glimpse of Skelegod, so, fans knew he was coming and we get our first glimpse at the end of this episode, unfortunately its only briefly to establish the cliffhanger ending, but, it certainly left me in anticipation for the next part of this story. Great episode.

Season One. Part One. Review
southdavid5 August 2021
Well. Online chatter surrounds the MOTU sequel series. To touch on it briefly, I think Kevin Smith's mistake was to interact with anyone criticising the show before it comes out. There's no winning over people who would genuinely criticise something as being "woke", so just leave them to it. None of that is to say that I unequivocally loved "Revelation", I didn't, but because of what it actually is, rather than skewed perceptions.

One of Skeletor's (Mark Hamill) assaults on Castle Greyskull seemingly finishes off both him, and his great adversary He-Man (Chris Wood) for good. Years later, with magic running low in Eternia, a small band of former adversaries' team up to try and collect both halves of the sword of power and restore the land to its former glories.

My history with "He-Man" is perhaps like most people my age. I watched the cartoon and will still have loads of the toys lying around somewhere, but I haven't kept an encyclopaedic knowledge going for the past three decades, I couldn't tell you what half the characters we called, let alone which version of the show they're pulling on for this ones history. I watched the five episodes in a single sitting a couple of weeks back. The gist of my review would be that it was "alright". I thought the animation was pretty good, I liked the vocal performances and the story was fine. It's only the first half of the season, so there's plenty of time for more "He-Man" in the back five. I was less enamoured with the actual script, the "Fakespear" as I've heard Smith refer to it, is occasionally a bit much.

I certainly liked it enough to come back and watch the remaining episodes when they eventually arrive, but why people are prepared to go to war over it, is baffling.

And he's back!...oh wait. No. Still lousy.

Warning: Spoilers
Now I know Kevin Smith reads user reviews.

This makes me so happy, that I had to write another one.

After killing off He-Man in episode 1, we get Adam back with a 10 minute Act which explains why he didn't become tree food. Yay for us right? But oh no. Here comes Kevin Smith's horrible writing to END the main character again in a matter of seconds. Snoogins'.

This is just a childish way to get back at every legit bad review after episode 2 that popped this garbage down to 5 stars.

Thank Kevin. You are a lifelong study on how weed kills brain cells.

Don't do drugs kids. Just laugh at them when they make stupid movies and shows.

Ignore the TOXIC MIDDLE AGED FANBOY VIRGINS!!
deadite2night10 August 2021
Sorry for the headline, but I am so sick of these toxic fanboy movements online all the time to boycott or to just destroy a franchise! Snyder Fanboys attacking Godzilla vs Kong, Star Wars "fans" who hate every Star Wars movie and now sad old pathetic He-Man fans attacking this new series! It's PATHETIC!! I grew up with the classic Masters Of The Universe series. I had all the toys, the pyjamas, the duvet cover and anything else that had He-Man on it when I was a kid in the late 80's and I absolutely LOVE the new series. You can tell that a lot of love and passion went in to it and I for one want to say THANK YOU KEVIN SMITH and everyone involved in bringing this series to life!!
