Raven: The Island is one of three spin-offs based on the Raven game show. On the island of Alaunus, Nevar has taken control by stealing the Great Oak. With Raven exiled from his home, it is up to his close friend, Princess Erina (played by Lindsay McKenzie) to guide twelve warriors he has sent to aid in her mission to retake the island.
With this spin-off, the rules are different from the main series. As twelve warriors are present, they are split into three teams, the lions, the wolves, and the eagles, with four warriors being on each team. Also, the three teams go different routes as they are given a piece of the map Erina had and tore into three pieces. As a result, the teams face different challenges according to their route, and when it comes to elimination, anyone who fails a challenge or gets caught by a demon is instantly eliminated, as the show does away with lives, as well as rings, meaning there is no way to bring back eliminated allies, adding more challenge to the series. For a one-season spin-off, this is amazing, retaining the fantasy setting and special effects of the main series.
