I watched this last night and I have to say it makes me real sad that these 4 young men had their lives ended by a senseless, senseless act. Cosmo DiNardo IMHO, should be given the death penalty as soon as possible and I grieve for the families, though the 4 young men may not be angels but certainly, they did not deserve their fate. Justice may have been served but I do believe life imprisonment is a lighter sentence. a tooth for a tooth is I always believe in.

Great and Tragic, Except...

Except for Deputy Doofy, AKA, Megan Freer, who smiles through every single one of her interviews like she's about to get on a plane to Disney. She knows the outcome of the story, so why is she practically giggling every time she's on camera? Are brutally murdered children funny to you, Megan? Every time I used to watch a movie and the police were portrayed as bumbling and stupid, I cringed at embarrassment for them. Now after seeing Freer's behavior in this documentary I think they've been depicted quite accurately.
Horrifying, tragic, sad, and ...hopeful?

Warning: Spoilers
Bright kids, trusting the wrong guy to buy illegal (for now) stuff, and ending up dead. Schizophrenia, showing itself as a blatant lack of concern for others, showing itself as an enigmatic monster able to do unspeakable things. Heart-wrenching sadness for clueless family who will never have their sons ever again. Sadness for the lineages that will never be realized. Hope for the checks and balances of law enforcement. One misses it, the other gets it. Freer is a hero. A dog with a bone. Cops aren't hired to be in front of a camera; they are hired to serve and protect.
