You will love it when you play among but if not you're still gonna be catched from the tension of the mystery. Definitly worth watching.

Unremarkable, but fun

Filmmakers wasted no time in producing a short based on the hit videogame. I'm aware of 'Among us,' but haven't played it, so I can't speak directly to quality of the adaptation specifically - yet the notion is obvious. The paranoia and mistrust in the premise is begging for a film version of one sort or another. To that point, it's fair to note the same idea has been explored countless times in many stories, so the question here isn't one of originality, but simply fun. Thankfully, while it's no revelation, this rendition of the concept is done pretty well.
Uncomplicated set design recalls space vessels as seen in other well-known features, while set pieces necessary to manipulate for this story are suitable in design. Makeup and wardrobe are more noteworthy, giving each character a unique color-coded look that echoes the source material - yet remains realistic and distinct enough as to aid enjoyment whether one is familiar with the game or not.
To the extent that the sole intent was unquestionably to create an 'Among us' fan film, the writing is adequate. That's about all one can reasonably say; the narrative, characterizations, and dialogue are perfunctory, designed to serve one purpose. There's a small hint of tongue-in-cheek humor present in the scenario to liven the feature, and this is also where the cast is given the greatest leeway in their roles. It's not like they have much to work with in each part, but they serve the material well, leaning into those lines and expressions that are exaggerated for mild comedic effect. I'd like to see them all in other things, and that might be the best compliment of all in this situation.
Is this 'Among us' short a must-see? No, not by any means. But it's entertaining should you come across it, and for anyone who is a particular fan of the game, it's especially worth checking out.

Warning: Spoilers
I was riveted the whole twelve minutes. I loved it! While many parts were boring and couldn't keep my attention, the good parts were better than good. Black was the killer, which was kinda cool bc she's the sexiest i'm pretty sure. Lots of people died, but white never did, which was kinda lame tbh.
A film to watch

Idea and camera are good but the not so much

Even though the acting was pretty decent from Jay Samuelz and Paul Cless, I had to give it 3 stars, because the rest weren't up to par. Arya Lee and Leslie Malso's acting was horrible. The cut was partially underwhelming. There is one single object in the room, somehow it still managed to be in different places from one shot to the next and Paul Cless' positioning is all over the place. In a 10 minute movie, continuity shouldn't be so problematic. Plus the sound was over-modulated in parts, like during purple's scream.
Bad acting and no continuity

The acting is very bad, and pretty much ruins the entire movie. A lot of over acting from especially the main actor Arya Lee. Jay Samuels and Marios Gavrillis delivered the most solid performances. The sound wasn't always on point and there must have been no continuity at all. The knife is on the table, the knife is gone, it's in someone's hand, it's back on the table.
Actually Amazing!

This is one of the best short film of all time! Among Us is a popular game, but this mystery style has been present, since day one. It is a smart story with intense scenes and surprisingly good acting. The tension in the room is always crazy, and the twists are actually surprising. I would recommend.
