Pretty predictable for what was going to happen and how the episode would play out, but still some good old-school NCIS style fun here. Definitely worth watching.

I love the series. Watched all the episodes and generally don't review episodes, but felt this one was so far under the level of the normal episodes that I had to.

The dialogue was horrible and I feel for the actors who had to work with them.

The story was more corny than ANY ever and there were some plotholes that just can't be overlooked.

Can the producers NEVER use this writer again?

Let me start by saying I absolutely love NCIS. As a Bahamian watching this episode... I cringed. Not sure where this episode was shot but the "workers" were NOT Bahamian and their accents were horrible. Lol. Next time reach out to local actors/actresses.

Garbage

From beginning to end, this episode was just garbage. Not even hot garbage. Stale, rancid garbage. An escape room? Is this episode set 5 years ago? And the dialogue! "It's an escape room, it's locked from the outside, REMEMBER?" Sweet Jesus. All the scenes were horribly written. Maria Bello looked like she could barely bring herself to say the words, & who can blame her. The whole mystery was contrived & dumb. Even McGee & Delilah, who've been very entertaining in the past, were having a hard time with the stilted dialogue. And this mess with Fornell has dragged on so long, who the hell even remembers how it started. Fail.

Episode was Okay

Obviously like all other long term running series, as the seasons and years go on the episodes become increasingly worse. Overall this episode was okay, but the Bahamian accents killed me. It was horrible lol. As a Bahamian watching it was kinda cringy LOL. Maybe find actual Bahamians next time ? Idk lol

NCIS Going TWEEN?

Everyone knows NCIS has been going downhill, like Gibbs should be doing. I mean come on, he was supposed to retire at the start of the show!

This episode feels like I should be watching it on Disney. The lines, the cheesy Bahamas scenes? Wow, way to signal the beginning of the end.

Mediocre

The 18th season has been fine so far with three decent episodes. "Sunburn" is unfortunately not a very good entry to the series. It's not awful, but unfortunately doesn't have much to offer.

Let's start with the good.

. The production values of the episode are great as usual. "Sunburn" is mostly well-directed (even though some of the ADR is pretty apparent), the music fits the scenery and the acting's passable. It's so nice to see Margo Harshman as Delilah, it's been a while since we have seen her.

. There are moments of intrigue and a few interesting turns in this case. Liked there was a throwback to "Deep Six", a book Mcgee wrote at least 10 seasons ago. Enjoyed the moments Delilah was on screen, she and Mcgee make a plausible couple. Appreciate the setup to the next episode.

But....

. The humor does agreed feel like it belongs in a sitcom. There is some really bad dialogue in this episode and the jokes do not land for the most part. Good ideas are few and far between and parts of the mystery are predictable, especially the solution.

Overall, a mediocre episode.
