  Pat Dugan : Your father?

  Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : His name was Alan Scott.

  Barbara Whitmore : [seeing Pat react]  Does that name mean something to you?

  Pat Dugan : Yeah. It's the Green Lantern.

  Jennifer-Lynn Hayden : You built the Star-Rocket Racer. You're a mechanical genius. It's an absolute honor to meet you, Mr. Dugan.

• Courtney Whitmore : If you're worried I'm here to dig through old files again, don't be. I'm done with that.

  Pat Dugan : What are you talking about?

  Courtney Whitmore : Jennie. She made me realize what was really important: my friends, my family, Stripesy. I should have treated you more like Jennie did when we first moved here. So, it's Courtney Whitmore first; daughter, sister, friend, and if a villain comes up, then it'll be Stargirl.

  Pat Dugan : Right, right. It's actually funny you should mention that, 'cause, uh, well... there is this old villain from the old days called the Shade. He's bad news. And he's the last member of the Injustice Society that's unaccounted for. And I think he's in Blue Valley.

  Courtney Whitmore : [giddy]  I'll get my staff!

• Courtney Whitmore : What's all of this?

  Barbara Whitmore : Breakfast. Jennie made it.

  Mike Dugan : Gotta try these pancakes.

  Barbara Whitmore : I thought Pat's were unbeatable, but we sure got a contender here.

  Mike Dugan : Oh, Pat's are very beatable.

  Pat Dugan : This is like a restaurant.

• Courtney Whitmore : Pat, how do you know she's really Green Lantern's daughter?

  Cindy Burman : Well, um... the JSA didn't talk about their kids a lot, to protect 'em, but I know that they had 'em. And that ring, it only worked for Alan.

  Courtney Whitmore : The Cosmic Staff only worked for Starman, and now it works for me. What if she's not who she says she is? What if she's, like, a spy or something?

  Cindy Burman : A spy?

  Courtney Whitmore : Yeah, for... for one of the JSA's old enemies, like Baron von Blitzkrieg.

  Cindy Burman : Okay, there's no "von", all right? It's just Baron Blitzkrieg. A-And he died in the war.

  Courtney Whitmore : Okay, whoever, then.

  Cindy Burman : Listen, Court, you're looking for villains everywhere. And I get it. Being Stargirl, it's...

  Courtney Whitmore : Everything.

  Cindy Burman : This life that you're pursuing, it's more about helping people than it is fighting the bad guys. And that's what you're good at. Yolanda, Rick, Beth, you gave them a shot when nobody else would. So how about giving this kid a chance?
