Pretty Dissapointing

Once again, the couch gag is one of the best parts of an episode lol. Nothing really to say about this one other than that i was bored a bit with this one. Also they made Lenny unlikeable, but you're not supposed to make him Unlikeable, it's Lenny! The best parts of the episode is the End Credit gag, The kids thinking homer is a fancy snowman. And the Maude labor scene was pretty decent, albeit weird. Also, continuity is pretty bad also, but it wasn't really that good in "I married marge" or "Lisa's First word", but this is a bit worse. 5.5/10 rounded up to 6/10.

More Maude Please
bm-6942429 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
When Maude died in Season 11 it felt like a cheap gag to just take revenge off Maggie Roswell's pay dispute, and ever since then they've kept joking about how mediocre of a character she was and had her appear as a ghost just to make fun of her. A couple of years ago however they started having her appear more and this episode is her largest character role in an episode EVER. While she is a little crankier, that can be understood knowing that she's 9 months pergnant and about to burst. Hope the Simpsons writers utilize Maude more as everytime she's on screen I get a little smile.

A decent modern Simpsons episode
jacklmgoulding13 February 2022
All in all a good episode.

I found the episode a good watch and I think the idea that Todd's middle name is "Homer" after Homer delivered him is actually very sweet.

It was nice to see Maude again as well.

I also found the bit at the end with Todd and Abe Simpson funny as well.

However the age inaccuracy with Todd does bother as well as the fact that Homer and Marge were fighting over something that in general wasn't actually Homer's fault.

All in all I did like the episode however and rate it 7/10.

Another piece of mess

There's some sort of a fight between Homer and Marge? I don't know - this is just so freaking bad that you really can't focus on the story. The anachronisms are also so horrid that I want to cry. Did I already say that the new voice actors suck? Just skip this episode - as most of the episodes on season 32 - as you won't miss anything.

Maybe there will be some watchable episodes on this show to come - who knows? Maybe there will be some stories that grasp you with their sharp and sometimes cute jokes. Or maybe you should just stick to the old gold and give up with the new. There really is no reason - other than that they are still able to sell advertisements during the commercial breaks - to make this anymore.

It was a good episode but...

This episode featured a past of Flanders, which is another room of the Simpsons home, but it was pretty unfunny. No spoilers contained.

700 Club

Warning: Spoilers
Yes, I'm one of those who stand by the Golden Years of The Simpsons, being the first 10 seasons with some outliers beyond that. Anyway, this is the 700th episode, yes 700, of The Simpsons. It was a huge deal to reach 100, then 200, 300 and so on. I still don't mid some of the modern episodes and surprisingly Manger Things wasn't as bad as some user reviews make it out to be.

The homage to Wakefield (the Bryan Cranston movie) was inspired for sure, and the end credits with the Christmas cards was worth the price of admission. I loved Homer's use of his cell phone and the reference to passwords in the attic.

Pretty good
miab-7298122 March 2021
When Marge kicks Homer out of the house after being drunk, Homer lives with Ned. But Maude doesn't want him to, it was pretty funny. The 700th episode was actually good! There were some unfunny scenes though, but still good.

My gosh!

Why don't they just end it?

We get yet another "Homer and Marge had a fight" episode. Yet another "flashback".

Although it is supposed to be a flashback, people use Uber, Wifi, have smartphones, etc. Todd Flanders isn't born yet (I thought Rod and Todd are the same age as Bart and Lisa, yet they say it's 6 years in the past)...

I really don't get it. If they want to include stuff from today, why don't they just age the Simpsons? Desperate Housewives did it (jumping into the future) and it worked well!

Just either cancel this show. Or wipe out the last 22 seasons and write new episodes with Bart and Lisa as teens or adults and Marge and Homer as seniors. At least that would offer space for new stories, not strange, unfunny re-hashes.

Comparable to STV
10086cn22 March 2021
I found this episode of The Simpsons to be about as beautiful as the STV idents that were introduced on 2nd June 2014. Simply... stunning. I certainly recommend it! So great...

(by the way, by "STV", I'm referring to the ITV franchise in Scotland)

A Flandering Flashback
TheIrishJackomon6 December 2021
Just going to say the positive I have for this episode, the flashbacks of Homer & Marge attending the Nuclear Power Plant Party, I did enjoy that part, and I enjoyed the present stuff too, and I liked Homer's moments when he is in the attic. Now to the negative, I feel like this episode is more of a retcon than the previous episode. Honestly, I had always believed that Todd was born after Bart, but before Lisa, which in this episode isn't the case. If I recall correctly thou, there is an episode where Todd is seen before Lisa is born. I also don't like Maude's portrayal in this episode, I found her kind of annoying.

Maude Flanders as Miss Hoover on steroids is Depressing
johnr_roberts22 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, Maude gets 'resurrected' yet again as Flanders' sidekick, but rather than extracting humor from her somewhat misguided support of her extremist husband, the new writers have turned her into a b**ch on wheels. And she ain't funny!

And, here yet again we have the non-talking Carl. It is clear the writers are frightened about the backlash when he actually talks with his horrible new voice!

Why are they talking about Uber when Lisa is 2 years old and Homer has hair?

Lenny has now caught that HORRIBLE laryngitis that has been affecting Julie Kavner's voice for I-don't-know-how-many-epsiodes-now.

Scrap the "gauche gag" (sorry, couch gag) at the start because it's just STUPID now.

Moe watching Marge and Homer making out is no longer funny, just creepy!

Todd "Homer" Flanders? Maggie "Lenny" Simpson? It's clear the money is the only thing keeping this going and the writers are scraping the bottom of the barrel because they've run out of ideas.

They act like they aren't from the 90s in this episode.
amomoumene28 November 2021
In this episode, It says 5 years ago. In another episode where they try to get rid of trauma (just search simpsons get rid of trauma episode) they say it was around 25 years ago. This is really frustrating. But I've gotta say, Season 32 is ONE of the best modern seasons on The Simpsons.
