Art Ford takes his Jazz Party to New Orleans to focus on the music from the birthplace of jazz played by some the elder statesmen of the jazz world. The first half-hour pays tribute to the first famous jazz soloist, trumpeter Buddy Bolden, followed by segments highlighting the music of Jelly Roll Morton and modern Dixieland music.
