A monster terrorizes a small town. Since the police have zero leads, several locals decide to form a posse and go to Bronson Canyon to figure out what exactly is the deal with the monster. Director Kevin Fernan keeps the enjoyable story moving along at a zippy pace, makes nice use of familiar Bronson Canyon locations, displays a genuine affection for micro-budget Grade Z schlock (the titular beast in particular looks hilariously hokey), tosses in a few cheesy false scares for extra silly measure, and caps everything off with a priceless Scooby Do-style ending. Moreover, it's fun to see Jim Wynorski film regular Ace Mask, screenwriter Mark Thomas McGee, and special effects artists Rick Baker and David Allen goofing it up in front of the camera. Done without sound or music, this real hoot possesses a certain irresistibly crude charm.
