Sex & Nudity

  • Almost every episode would be G-rated, with the possible exceptions of Hamlet (1980) and Titus Andronicus (1985), which have some mild adult content.

Violence & Gore

  • Most have no violence at all. A few of the tragedies have some very mild violence depicted, consistent with Shakespeare's actual play. Never graphic or overly bloody.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A few episodes feature immoral characters (i.e., Falstaff) who are shown drinking excessively in taverns. However, this behavior is never condoned.
