What darkness lurks beneath the 1950's
elemeier4 October 2010
Warning: Spoilers
When a woman who claims to be a makeup saleslady shows up to the house of a wealthy housewife, the wife realizes that this caller is no stranger...Beautiful production design and set design - captures the artificiality of period movies a la Sirk, but exposes the perversions and jealousies that lay beneath the surface beauty. A skewering of the supposed niceties between women that shows what desperation the period could contain in its genteel manners.

Interesting use of older actresses, original music satirizes the spirit of the holidays and suburban loveliness.

If this comes to a festival near you - see it.
