Review of both parts:

This story features Sarah Jane having met a man and them falling in love, quickly developing to getting married. Not everyone is convinced that the man is genuine and fear some sort of alien influence. On the day of the wedding there are dramatic events and we get a guest appearance by David Tennant as the 10th Doctor.

The drama and mystery in Part 1 is strong and the cliffhanger sequence is brilliant and exciting with the thrilling arrival of The Doctor. Part 2 goes on to be a great mixture of fun, darkness, moving drama as well as suspense and action. It is one of the best stories of The Sarah Jane Adventures and a wonderful way to link in to Doctor Who.

Lis Sladen is as wonderful as ever as Sarah Jane and both her and Nigel Havers as her intended husband make scenes extremely engaging and ultimately very emotional and touching.

The teenage companions are all good but it is the arrival of the fabulous david Tennant that adds extra joy to this story. It is great to see the young team finally meet the hero they have heard so much about and see the TARDIS in action.

This is a fantastic adventure.

My ratings: Parts 1 & 2 - 9.5/10.

Fantastic conclusion.

Sarah Jane and Peter are isolated away from The Doctor, Luke, Clyde and Rani. The Trickster has one aim, to cause havoc.

One question, who's going to sort the problem, Sarah Jane (it's her show,) or the welcome guest, The Doctor, I think they chose the right outcome.

It's exciting, adventurous, super fast paced and incredibly moving, that scene where Sladen is stood at the alter, (not sure the word I need there,) will have you in tears.

After the last few years of Doctor Who, all I can say is seeing Tennant here, I'm reminded why he had millions and millions of viewers, he was meant to play the part, he brought something incredible to the part, even here, you can just see it, his energy, it's captivating.

I loved The Trickster, everything he was associated with, the three previous stories and Turn Left, all amazing, let's hope Davies brings him back when he takes over the show again.

I still think it would have been a nice way to end the third Series, particularly when you put Tennant's future on the show into context.

It's been a joy to rewatch this, 10/10.

A Very Good Episode. David Tennant's Swan Song as the Doctor.

Warning: Spoilers
While we still have three more special episodes of "Doctor Who" to look forward to before Matt Smith takes over, this two-part adventure, "The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith," marks David Tennant's final performance in the role. The episode itself is really good, and gives all of the characters more of a dramatic impact, and the guest spot by Tennant is stellar, showing everybody why he has made such an impact with the character. The final moments of the episode, where the Doctor shows the kids the interior of the Tardis, and the final farewell between Sarah Jane and the Doctor, is terrific. "Don't forget me, Sarah Jane" says the Doctor. "Nobody will forget you," replies Sarah Jane. Indeed. Thanks for four great years, David. And while we look forward to Matt Smith's take on the Time Lord, your Doctor will never be forgotten. Grade: A-

Excellent, best episode of the lot!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
Gareth Roberts has done it once again for the Sarah Jane adventures and wrote the best story of the series. I wished this was the finale of the series because this 2 part story was just pure genius, couldn't fault it what-so-ever. The again poignant ending which Sarah Jane knew it would probably come to but she tries to avoid is although predictable as it's been the way out for the other episode involving the Trickster, still hits the spot and packs a great emotional punch that some episodes can lack. Nigel Haver's acting is brilliant and, despite him believing the Trickster to be an angel and allowing him to hypnotise Sarah Jane, you can tell his character (Peter Dalton) loves Sarah and wants to marry her. The other fantastic performances came from of course David Tennant as 'The Doctor' and Elisabeth Slayden. The three kids were still great but due to this episode being more based on Sarah Jane's choice and her love of Peter, they kind of seemed to take a back seat (which i thought was a good thing for the episode). Overall a 10/10 from me absolutely amazing!!!
