One of the best episodes of the third series.

A political activist is targeting polling stations, only one attack costs a life.

This was brilliant, the story is so interesting, the political angle adds something so different. Set during the time of Margaret Thatcher, well known for that slogan, Margaret Thatcher, The Milk Snatcher. Times were very hard for people.

Great scene where Alex speaks to Shaz about the stars, the highlight though is the ending, it's excellent.

Despite how good this episode is, the most intriguing bit for me, A Peanut Yorkie, Shaz has a peanut Yorkie, they did have the best chocolate bars back then.

A very good episode for Ray, I liked the character of Andrew Smith, Joe Absalom is always great.

So much to ponder from this one. 9/10.

A Ray centred episode

Warning: Spoilers
Election day proves chaotic for Gene Hunt and co, especially with their department being closely watched by Jim Keates.

What's nice about this third and final series of the show is that the writers are taking the time to flesh out the supporting characters a bit more, so after having an episode featuring Shaz heavily earlier on we now get one featuring Ray in a central position.

Dean Andrews gives a great performance here, full of emotion at the end, and it's lovely to see.

The plot thickens even more in this addictive show.

Probably the best episode of the series so far but surprised if was shown just a few weeks before a general election in 2010. A big episode for Ray this time. They seem to have run out of people for cameo roles this series and there is not so much music in this episode despite 1983 being a big year for the industry Drake us still probing regarding events of the past but little is found out and is just a sub plot to this episode. I do hope people stuck with this show after a poor opening few episodes in the first series.

Season 3 starts to grind.

I love the show but season 3 really starts to grate. The obsessive storyline with Jim gets so boring and repetitive.

It's the same thing time after time at the expense of the usual anarchic story telling.

Another boring episode.
