A step in the right direction
kbtoys1005 December 2021
When I saw a new Demonic Toys film was coming out, I had very low expectations. Full Moon hasn't had a decent movie in years, with the dreadful Evil Bong series and even their bread maker series, Puppet Master has had several interminable entries as of late.

Baby Oopsie Chapter 1 seems then to be the start of a new chapter for the company. Immediately viewers will notice production value has improved, with the film having multiple locations and a decent sized cast - something sorely lacking from the single-set talk-fests of the previous batch of Full Moon movies (or the recycled footage assemblies he's been dumping out).

The next positive comes with the doll design. While still a far cry from the 90's mechanical designs, it looks wayyy better than the cheap designs they've been giving us.

While Baby Oopsie is a long way away from being an actually good film, it is a huge step forward for the company. Full Moon fans will find enough here to enjoy. But if your killer doll genre experience stops with Chucky or Annabelle, it's best to leave Baby Oopsie in the box.

PS when will that Puppet Master videogame ever be released??

These movies aren't great but are definitely entertaining and worth a viewing
kevin_robbins18 April 2022
Baby Oopsie (2021) is currently available on Tubi. The storyline for this picture follows an obese doll collector who is verbally abused by her mom and coworkers and physically abused by kids in the neighborhood occasionally. One day she gets a unique doll that she takes apart, fixes and then it springs to life. The doll presses it's owner to stick up for herself and helps her in the process.

This movie is directed by William Butler (Demonic Toys 2) and stars Libbie Higgins (Weedjies: Halloweed Night), Marilyn Bass (Bernadette) and Lynne Acton McPherson (Mayberry Man).

The storyline for this is actually pretty creative and well throughout. Higgins was solid as the main character. The scenes with her visions to start the movie were great. Baby Oopsie was a bit annoying, especially the laugh, but definitely had some good kill and vomit scenes. These movies aren't great but are definitely entertaining and worth a viewing. I would score this a 6/10 and strongly recommend it.

Introducing Your New Favourite Foul Mouthed Doll Based Horror Series.
meddlecore16 October 2022
A woman, who gets picked on by everyone in her life, escapes reality by expressing her passion for dolls in a popular doll-oriented youtube series.

She often fantasizes about reaping vengeance on those who wrong her...but never takes action on those fantasies.

However, she get's a guardian angel in the form of a hideous doll- Baby Oopsie- which she restores, and gives a new body.

Sent to her by one of her fans, she keeps incorporating new mechanics into the doll, upon the arrival of each new package, from her mysterious benefactor.

Thus bringing Baby Oopsie to life...though, perhaps, with a few behavioural problems...

This is the first in a series of short films, released by full moon features, and produced by doll-centric horror director Charles Band.

The whole thing is made purposefully cheesy.

But that's part of it's allure.

The special effects are legitimately horrible...aside from the doll itself.

Plastic weapons; strawberry jam used as blood; and CGI so bad it's pretty clear they didn't even try.

So don't go in expecting a masterpiece or anything.

But prepare to be entertained.

Gets (much needed) bonus points for playing Subspecies on the TV.

Corny and funny
jsansing-8151816 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I thought I was watching a 1990's movie for a second there. It started off interesting but got corny as The doll's dialogue is Too Much. The blood is over the top but I still like the gore aspect they tried.

I feel with more money, this movie could have been better but still was bad. Why they bullied her? I was waiting for her to snap at any second but let the doll do the work for her. You got to watch it for yourself. Witch craft type of vibes. It kept me interested but weirded out .

My favorite line was when the doll said "That a killer doll wack the b**** lol Libbie is Great tho! 2 Stars.

Entertaining cheapo z grade Full Moon schlock.
b_kite8 August 2022
Yes, this is really dumb and looks like it was made for $10 dollars with people who just lived around the area it was filmed. But more than likely you're not going into a modern Full Moon flick looking for high quality. That a side for a flick about a killer toy baby doll cussing and spiting one-liners its entertaining enough, as are the cheapo kills.

Completely Ridiculous !

Why spend money filming awful movies such as this ? I don't understand it. Folks, stay away from this. I couldn't make it past the first 10 minutes. If you want to see doll movies, stick to Dolls, Puppet Master, etc.

I've been a bad wittle baby

Warning: Spoilers
Sybil Pittman (Libbie Higgins) operates a vlog about doll repair, the best in Cleveland. There are people who pick on her and she has bad thoughts about doing them harm. She gets doll parts in the mail and manages to restore a Baby Oopsie who then kills on her behalf until things get out of hand.

There is a mention of "Demonic Toys" from 1992. This falls loosely in line. The doll is a fan of old horror cinema and reenacts scenes such as from the "Exorcist." Popcorn fun.

Guide: F-word. Sex. Nudity.

This is a joke, right?!
brinkschannah6 March 2022
A waste of my time and I turned it off after 20 min.

Whoever wrote those 10/10 reviews were probably one of the cast/production members, or members of the family.

This belongs on a reel on FB or Instagram.

Libbie rocks, but the rest... just don't.

Better than I Expected
arfdawg-110 January 2024
Full Moon movies are generally hit or miss -- mostly miss, so I wasn't expecting much. But this film isn't all that bad.

It's got a bit of Chucky in it, but the story line is different.

It's about a down trodden nut-bag named Sybil who collects and is obsessed with dolls. She has some sort of local show where she acts out scene with the dolls. For some unexplained reason, she gets mailed a messed up doll head which she refurbishes.

Somewhere along the line the doll gets possessed and all hell breaks loose.

Suddenly people who were mean to the morbidly obese doll collector are turning up dead at the hands of Baby Oopsie.

The movie works because the acting is pretty decent and it's infused with humor throughout. The characters are all kinda kookie in a John Waters sort of way.

Well.. they tried
sosojenniebp1 April 2022
It does have an interesting concept. However, it wasn't high in production at all and the script was pretty bad. The acting wasn't the best either. I don't really recommend watching it unless you like cringy films. I give it at least 1 star because I like Libby Higgens.

Very engaging
michle537 August 2022
As far as Indie horror films go, this is as good as it gets. The characters are extremely quirky, the story is not incredibly original but it's handled in a fresh way, and the acting is fun. I never felt the urge to turn it off. Worth a watch.

Still they churn them out...
Leofwine_draca16 March 2023
So it turns out that after all these decades Full Moon are still turning out their micro-budget creature features and BABY OOPSIE is their latest franchise, linked to the DEMONIC TOYS series by the presence of a Satan-possessed doll that goes around murdering people. The best thing you can say about this awful film is that it makes Full Moon's earlier movies of the 1990s look like classics by comparison. The look of the doll is sufficiently creepy and the FX are okay too, but the script is the most monotonous ever and the characters completely stupid. Seriously, this makes earlier films like DOLLMAN look like masterpieces of nuance and creative design.

I have never seen such a legendary, scary and spooky film. This is a funny piece which you can enjoy with the whole family. I would rate it even higher than 10/10 but unfortunatelly i can not do this. A great movie, I recommend it for everyone and especially for kids!😀

This is a such a fun horror flick - with some great acting performances too! We really liked Sybil, but Ray Ray (Justin Armistead) stole the show for us. So funny, and what a twist!

A Fun Horror Movie
ladymidath21 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have to admit that the Full Moon Pictures are one of my guilty pleasures. I love Subspecies, Puppet Master. Killjoy and even the Gingerdead series. They can put out some woeful garbage, but every now and again, they will give you something like Meridian. I didn't have high hopes for Baby Oopsie even though I do like Demonic Toys 1and 2. This is a hell of a lot of fun though with really likable characters. I love that the lead was an older obese woman that towards the end really kicked some arse. Libbie Higgens was great as was all the other cast members. The bullies were straight out of Stephen King, but hey, they did the job they were supposed to. This is a surprisingly entertaining movie with so many pop culture references and sadly, I got every one of them.

It's not deep or particularly scary but the kills are fun and there is some real humour in it.
