Stinging Shadows

This episode introduces another level to Anthony's character. This season thus far felt a little too dry, and I was worried we were only going to get a handful of episodes with some witty bickering between Kate and Anthony before some dramatic romance began. A small little creature then comes along and gives us some real depth, and a somber story for the Vicount. This episode gave Anthony something his sister 's love story lacked, character depth. I love a good love story, but add some character development alongside of it and I'm sold. I look forward to seeing if Kate's story plays out in similar fashion as the season continues.

I give this a ten star for character development, the backstory on Anthony was well captivating and heartfelt. The storyline with the Sharma's is dreadfully predictable.

So many tears

Having lost my dad, I found this episode absolutely heartbreaking, but in a way that had me enjoy it all the more. The clips of his past bring to light his attitude for love and marriage and it is so utterly charming when we find out why he does not wish to marry for love.

This is the episode where we see Kate & Anthony learn much more about each other. I am excited to see where this season will go.

I am also excited to see what is to become of Penelope and Colin. I haven't rooted for someone to find her love more than I've rooted for Penelope.

Emotional episode....

Warning: Spoilers
This episode gives the watcher insight into Anthony's issues about love and marriage. It's amazing how children can be affected by a parent's reaction to a life event, & that event continue to affect them the rest of their life. The end of the episode brings it full circle. Extremely emotional and made me teary-eyed as the closeups pull the watcher into the story. The actor who plays Anthony did an excellent job. My favorite episode so far this season...

Too much change
rachelnstephens12 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
How did Eloise change so much from season one? Season one she was a take charge young woman, ready to speak to the Queen uninvited.

This season Eloise is a bumbling fool who is afraid of holding a baby despite her gaggle of younger siblings that she would have obviously held.

Kate is an annoying character with no character development. Why is she accompanying her sister to these balls and acting like the man of her house when she's not the mother, the mother is alive and Kate has no business with the Ton as she's simply a step daughter of a Ton. She acts completely insolent to Lady Danbury for no reason.
