Hollywood Greats: Doris Day
BJ-London1 November 2009
Entertaining 2002 documentary from the BBC, fronted by Jonathan Ross. Doris Day doesn't appear but Ross travels to her home town of Carmel to present the program and we see her in clips from a previous BBC documentary, "I Don't Even Like Apple Pie".

From the BBC: "Doris Day, Tuesday, 9 April 2002, 10.35pm, BBC1. Doris Day remains one of the best loved movie stars of Hollywood's golden age. Now in her 80s, she is semi-retired (and rarely, if ever, gives interviews). Many of her friends and co-stars, including Andy Williams and Howard Keel, have, however, granted exclusive interviews for this documentary and obviously still regard her with considerable affection. ...Behind the dazzling smile and polka dot dresses, however, was a history of abusive relationships. It's testament to Day's strength that despite this she still managed to fashion impressive movie and singing careers."
