Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately no Toby Greene for this Semi Final due to suspension. The Giants have a goalless 1st term, with the Cats getting plenty of free-kicks on goal, both teams inaccurate though. The Cats maintain their lead to the half, Cameron good with 2 goals. Hawkins with a quality mark and goal in the 3rd and the Cats doing a good job getting deflections on Mumford's close-quarter handballs. A perfect tap pass out of the ruck contest to Smith by Hawkins for the easy goal, the Cats out to a substantial lead. Mumford puts a goal through after the siren, to give the Giants a smidgen of hope going into the last. They get a flurry of goals early in the 4th, but the Cats win it convincingly in the end. Dangerfield winning the ball at the contest and Hawkins dominant in the 2nd half, showcasing his combination of strength, agility and accuracy on goal. The Cats were ahead in the hit-outs, the Giants +2 in clearances, the inside 50's even. A lot of maintaining possession by both teams, the Cats cleaner and better in the marking contest, resulting in 9 more scoring shots. Hawkins best afield, with 19 disposals, 4 contested marks, 5 goals and an assist. Menegola 29 disposals, 5 clearances, 5 tackles, 538 metres gained, 2 goals and 2 assists. Whitfield for the Giants, 34 disposals, 10 intercepts and 711 metres gained. Kelly and Tuohy also among the best for either side.

3. (Geel) T. Hawkins, 2. (Geel) S. Menegola, 1. (Gws) L. W-field.
