I did not think that the reveal of the police infiltrator would happen so quickly.

Both the pasts of Salisbury and St Clair are examined. How they managed to come into this village and interacted with the locals and others. The scars they have never fully healed.

After another arrow attack, this time on a golf course. Salisbury exposes Jenny Harris's husband as a cheat.

Meanwhile Salisbury has suspicions about St Clair's wife. A police records search reveals that the information on her is classified.

I know there is more to come as there have been brief sightings of well known actors in other episodes. There is more to the flashbacks from the 1980s.

In this episode it is Lindsay Duncan who gives a state of the nation piece as a retired lawyer who became a NUM activist looking into spycops.

I could not help noticing that Duncan appeared in the Channel 4 drama GBH in 1991. That was also about the security services infiltrating political groups and Duncan was one of them.

Off the boil somewhat.

Ian reluctantly accepts help from The Met, as he's now hunting for two killers, one of which has intensified his activity.

If I'm totally honest, I thought this was a little bit of a backward step, it's been excellent so far, I found parts of this one a bit silly.

The story veered off a little bit, the focus should definitely have been fixed on the crazed bowman, but everyone seemed more focused with the spy.

The faces keep on coming, and we were treated to the sheer brilliance of Lindsay Duncan, as always, she gave a terrific performance.

Adeel Akhtar, I'm a huge fan of the guy, and he was great, just not sure what was going on with Mr Fisher in The woods, would anyone be so starved after such a short time?

It was good, definitely watchable, in comparison with what's gone before, I found this somewhat below par, 6/10.
