I understood the need for this episode and I felt it worked well. I did giggle at Brock in the doctor coat, although they were misbehaving. Golden-haired Princess had his Velma (Scooby Doo) moment with a well-intentioned chat with each Bravo team member. There's lots to take away from this episode. A serious outcome with some light moments sprinkled around. Sonny is always a joy to listen to with the dialogue he gets scripted. I could listen to him for days. He's grown on me over the seasons as one of my fave characters. The "crutch brigade" 🤣🤣 And then finally flags get raised. I'm addicted to this well-written series.

Don't laugh too loud when people say, someone could steal your love away.

Warning: Spoilers
A battle brewing(not really but there have been instances) from season 1 episode 1. Jason v Clay Spencer. After talking about it with his wife and teammates Clay is ready to hold Jason to account for his actions in different operations that compromises the team's safety. These actions are a result of years of brain injuries in combat.
I think Clay has a duty to himself, his wife and his baby, on the way to report Jason's mental slips and not just a duty to them but to the people, he actually fights with and for. Based on the show reporting your teammates might be bad in some cases but I'm not thinking this is one of them.
SEAL team writers have remained committed to telling the stories of Traumatic Brain injuries and the support warfighters need to deal with these issues. The way Jason's story is being told is not comparable to the way Swanny's was in terms of quality writing but an important story nonetheless.
Conspicuous Gallantry for me is Clay's moment to show that he might have the leadership quality and can make tough calls. The information from his team leader and teammates contradict and he took the time out to get the truth. While he didn't report Jason which is the ultimate tough call I credit him for getting to the truth.
I'm never a fan of episodes that have way better endings than start and middle but I'll give this once a pass because the ending was funny and I laughed when the two were leaving the hospital.

What happened to Seal Team??

It's unbearable to watch Navy Seals frequently being childish, emotionally unstable and so freaking dramatic all of a sudden. We used to see them planning important missions, handling their guns professionally, communicating with each other by using the right terminology, respecting protocol. It used to be educational and satisfying for someone interested in the military. Wtf did you do to them? Now it feels like I'm watching weak, incompetent, whiny princesses traveling to war zones.
You took away the initial characters from us. What a shame. It was one of my favourite series.
I love a good drama but damn, have some respect for the history of this show. Does consistency not matter to you anymore?
If I wanted to watch cheap love/family stories I could've find other shows. Seal Team used to be defined by war, action, thrills, THEN drama - closer to reality, not an exaggeration, closer to fiction.

Great Stuff! If you want to be depressed....

The direction they are taking the show is wonderful. If you want to be depressed. And sad. And maybe suicidal. Because....let's face it....nothing will work out well. We might as well end it now.
But if you want to be entertained and uplifted, this is no longer the show for you (or at least for me).
The acting is top-notch. Wonderful direction. But the story. Oh. Oh. Why go on? Why?!

seal team "jump the shark"
flowirin13 December 2021
Every show ends.
Some keep making episodes afterwards.
Last season was good. This one?
Not the same show. A corpse, reanimated by a soulless corporation and forced to dance and sing like a monkey. No longer the action drama, now pure melodrama with action added like seasoning.
The show didn't just jump the shark, it did a flip.

Warning: Spoilers
We all know that Hollywood can't stand the military. That is why anytime they can make the military look bad , they will do it . To Hollywood, no soldier is ever a hero . In old Hollywood they made a lot of good war movies, showing Americans as good men and heroes . But now in this time, writers want to make them out to be bad people. Also they try and show all the faults soldiers have .

It started great and then started with some woke slips here and there... dude who got tortured feeling down and his wife nagging at him hardcore... all women in these militaly shows are the same... they show 0 empathy for situations they themselves dont have to go through and if they had, they would have been in catatonic states for life.. even tho in hollywood movies women can do it all and a 120lb woman can throw around a man double her weight..
but now its getting too far.. jason almost killes everybody and spencer just holds on to that information and just let it slide... lol.

ATTENTION! ACHTUNG! PARAMOUNT+:
GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER- NOW!
You are RUINING an INCREDIBLE show!
I don't know what they are smoking at Paramount+, but this episode seems to almost "pull the curtain back" on whatever dope-smokers are running that place! The episode is all over the place, makes no sense, jumps around from the continuing saga of the show- even going completely "off script" from the (what seemed to be) original intent of the show from it's inception.
We have NO IDEA what is going on, what it's about, or anything else. Just a complete OUT OF THE BLUE storyline. ONCE AGAIN, is this what we can expect from what was once an incredible show now that it is in Paramount+'s hands?
I have to tell you, the entire reason that I subscribed to Paramount+ was to continue watching Seal Team. CBS was a fool for dropping it, but it is in even worse hands now that Paramount+ is steering the ship- towards the iceberg.
