Excellent

I was worried how things would pan out but Gary Cole has certainly picked everything up nicely - he is doing great.

The team works well together and keeps ip the pace of prior seasons.

Really good episode.

There is finally some humor injected into an episode again. It's about time they brought Delilah back; the team members personal lives do not overwhelm the theme of the show but it's nice to see their loved ones on occasion. To see Patricia Richardson (Home Improvement) again was wonderful and pretty comical with her character's personality and boyfriend issues. Her scenes with her "helicopter daughter" Delilah were sweet and funny.

I snickered at the comment Parker made about his large "Brady Bunch"-sized family, a little nod to his portrayal of Mike Brady in the Brady Bunch parody movies. He is really gelling with the team, maybe a bit longer with Torres.

The only thing that annoyed me a bit was the constant reference to the "Bandio"(sic?) app Parker was getting them to use. I'm not sure if it's real or not, but it came across as a marketing gimmick - not very naturally done.

It had some great twists/turns in the plotline to keep you guessing. Keep the humor flowing!!

I like where the show is going
dpb-5515724 December 2021
It's been hard seeing the original cast slowly fall apart through the years. But at this point things needed to change and keeping Gibbs onboard just doesn't work anymore. I started to get irratated by his grumpiness. I finally started to realize he didn't really contribute much except yell at people for updates. It's rare that big changes on a show renews my interests, they usually cause me to give up. But I was already giving up on this show until the last couple episodes.

Best NCIS for a long time

When Tony left, so did the comic element. Gary Cole's input is bringing it back and my husband and I love it! Well done, keep it up. Laughing is a needed activity we all need, it's a great medicine for the soul!

Gary Cole

Gary Cole is a great replacement for Mark Harmon. Fits into the team and love the humour he brings. Please Torres stay with NCIS you are great. Delillah and her mum were a fantastic addition to the episode. About time we saw the twins.

Better and Better

This season just keeps getting better and better!! I was worried about Mark not being on the show, but Cole seems to be fitting in just fine. I like how Torres and Parker butt heads a bit. Keeps things interesting. And thanks for bringing Delilah back on the scene, she's great. Patricia Richardson as her mother is perfect. I do miss Bishop, but the new gal fits in. Will she and Torres be a love interest, I wonder?

Quite good

Warning: Spoilers
The 19th season of "NCIS" has not been great. "Docked" was a pleasant surprise though. It's not a fantastic episode, but easily the best of the season so far.

Let's start with the good.

. The production values of the episode are great. The episode is well-directed, the music fits the scenery. Liked the acting too. Margo Harshman is a delight. So is Patricia Richardson.

. The mystery is interesting this time around with some twists and relatable themes touched upon. Enjoy the message that people need to talk more to each other.

But...

. There are aspects of this story (like someone close to the team getting involved with a murder case) that have been executed better in previous episodes. Humour is subjective, but not all jokes landed for me.

Overall, a solid episode.

7/10 HK.

Nice Return-to-Form
deadparrotisnomore9 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is a nice return-to-form after the somewhat subpar storyline of the end of the previous season into this season. I always love to see Delilah, and seeing her with her mother was a blast. I wish they would remove Mark Harmon from the title sequence, since he's not coming back, and David McCallum also seemed to say a final goodbye, so they should remove him too. Overall a nice episode.

Not loving it
jeffreycrippen-2844616 November 2021
I want to start by saying that I'm not one who has been unkind about previous cast changes. I like Bishop just fine for instance and didn't yeah I'm for instance and didn't get bent out of shape when Sieva left but these latest changes I have really enjoyed very much very much I think the show would have been better had they allowed Tim gay to just headed up the team with an occasional appearance by by Gibbs they're trying much too hard in my opinion with this new format. Katrina law has been a bit of a disappointment to Me Too! I like her on arrow but she's not really doing much with this role this role just my opinion.

Finally!
koohii27 April 2023
After barrage after barrage of mediocre and sub-par soap-opera smeg, we finally get something decent!

My only squawk was the episode not properly explaining why crimes committed on cruise ships aren't generally well investigated. What it comes down to is that almost all cruise and freight ships are flagged in other countries--usually for tax reasons--so once it leaves port, those ships become territory of those countries. Crimes committed on cruise ships are a pretty low priority, and must be proven using their laws, not US laws. (This is especially troubling with rape cases.)

While a little fluffy and light-weight, at least the show is getting back to what it should be--investigating crimes involving Navy personnel.

Docked

Maybe a little too quirky at times, but there were still some good moments in this one. A flimsy case at best, but a pretty solid hour of TV that flew by.

NCIS becomes Hallmark!
zznnh9 November 2021
The more I watch this new season, the more disappointed I am. Last week's episode had a back-to-school special. This week focusing on Delilah and her mother reads like a Hallmark movie. GGIIBBSS!!!

Entertaining, investigative and a great laugh
hindsonevansmike3 February 2024
This 6ixth episode brings together many elements which have made "NCIS" a great watch over the decades since it was spun out of "JAG".

Eye-opener (once I had gone through the "where the heck do I know her from" is Patricia Richardson - formerly the wife of "Tim the Toolman Taylor" in "Home Improvement" with Tim Allen some20 years ago - (now rocking a grey mop of hair) as Mrs McGee's mother.

Cue multiple sub-stories about mother-in-law having a sex life, hidden fiancé trying to get into her secure protective apartment (which is actually Maison Tim & Delilah) and a sub-plot about toxic waste. Cole is now in his stride, and the cast are raising their games.

I loved this not-at-all-serious episode. Bit silly so around a real 7.5 rating.
