I don't know, I guess they felt the need to admit that it is just him, by himself, in this(wouldn't it be funny if *Dennis* Miller was asking him questions, though? Hey, they both love loudly commenting on politics). This is the shorter of the two featurettes on the DVD of The Spirit, with a running time of 15 minutes and 20 seconds, and it consists of an interview with the man, intercut with panels and such from the work of his as well as that of others, and clips of the film. This is quite interesting for fans of him or of the medium, as he talks about the history of graphic novels, his inspirations, what he likes and dislikes about this form of artistic expression and what he views as its strengths and its weaknesses. He is rather honest, and I'm sure many will agree with the very first statement he makes(it involves what he's led by for his entire career... take a guess). When he briefly goes into what it's like to make a movie, he delivers great clues as to why his first attempt turned out the way it did. He describes the complete feeling of freedom with green-screen, and how time is now in his, not the readers', hands. Well, let's try to remember his great moments, right there on the page, instead of judging him solely based on the motion picture. This was made by Josh Oreck, known for his documentaries for the Wachowskis. He puts this together well as expected from him. The editing is great, and this tends to be informational. There is a little sexual imagery(mainly drawn) and moderate to strong language. I recommend this to anyone who likes Frank and comic books. 7/10
