This was an excellent film, I saw it at The Jacksonvile Film Festival. It was exciting to see it with several members of the cast from Stanton- one of the featured schools. Having heard all about State from my daughter-"girl with the tambourine in hotel lobby"--it was neat to see what was really involved with going to state. I highly recommend this film for anyone with a child involved with theatre arts, you will see what goes on inside while you are waiting in the parking lot. all the work involved with preparing a piece for competition is conveyed from the the initial decision through the rehearsals, district competitions and final performance. When the film is finally available for viewing, definitely save the date!
