It wasn’t long ago when we were introduced to Married at First Sight Season 16 couple Clint Webb and Gina Micheletti.
Unfortunately, Clint and Gina were among the matches from their season whose marriages crashed and burned.
The other couples included Airris Williams and Jasmine Secrest, Domynique Kloss and Mack Gilbert, Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille Dillon, and the only couple still standing, Nicole Lilienthal and Chris Thielk.
At first Clint and Gina seemed like a fun match but it didn’t take long for the pair to clash.
Clint’s crude comment about Gina’s body and her remark about not being attracted to redheads set the couple on a course that they never recovered from.
By the time it got to Decision Day, no one was surprised that the pair opted to part ways for good and end their marriage, but where are Gina and Clint today?

In Sean S. Cunningham's 1980 slasher flick "Friday the 13th," Kevin Bacon plays a camp counselor named Jack who meets a memorable end. Jack and his girlfriend Marcie (Jeannine Taylor) enjoy a zesty round of marijuana and coitus while, unbeknownst to them, the corpse of their friend Ned (Mark Nelson) is stored in the ceiling above them. Marcie leaves to take a shower, and Jack lays back on the bed to relax and have a toke. A drop of blood lands on his brow. Jack is momentarily confused. His confusion doesn't last long, however, as the hand of a mysterious killer -- possibly the presumed-dead Jason Voorhees -- pops up from under the bed and grabs him by the forehead. An arrow pushes up from underneath the bed, puncturing Jack's neck from behind. The arrowhead emerges from his throat, and blood spurts up onto his face. Jack dies wearing a startled expression.

While rumors floated for years that James Caan turned down an offer to play Han Solo in Star Wars, he avoided confirming or denying the story. Still, the actor said he had turned down many roles in his career. He also shared why he thought he wouldn’t have been right for the role. With this response, he took a shot at Harrison Ford.
There are rumors that James Caan turned down the role of Han Solo
Ford, of course, ultimately got the role of Han Solo. Caan was reportedly under consideration for the part before Ford was cast, though. In a 2013 conversation on The Howard Stern Show, Caan first spoke about another iconic role he refused: Superman.
Caan said that The Godfather author Mario Puzo had written a tongue-in-cheek, humorous script for the film. He would have considered this version, but the film went in a different direction. While...

The best soap villains do horrible things for good reasons.
On Days of Our Lives during the week of 5-01-23, Colin manipulated Talia into messing with Chanel's heart now that she's destroyed her business.
People got sick thanks to Talia's poisoning the biscuits, so she'll have to pay for that when caught. But will anyone also address the way Colin's been abusing Talia?
Talia's still responsible for her choices, even if Colin was pressing her buttons to get her to do things she was uncomfortable with. It wouldn't be justice for her to escape punishment because Colin was calling the shots.
Still, it's not as simple as Talia being a bad person. She's doing bad things while under the control of an emotionally abusive jerk who knows exactly what to say to get her to do what he wants.

Kenai started the season on Camp Charlie with Andrea Hilderbrand, Nick Rader, and Seth Lueker. She was worried about her position in the group as a woman.

“I’m not just some female that’s here to bow out when I’ve had enough,” Kenai said later. “You know, I’m here for the long run, and I hope he sees that.

Paul Rudd is easily one of the most likable celebrities in Hollywood. When he first broke onto the scene in the 1995 teen dramedy, Clueless, fans found him witty and charming. He’s had a lengthy career as a funny man, nabbing the role of Mike, Phoebe’s husband on Friends, and portraying unforgettable characters in Anchorman, This Is 40, and I Love You, Man.
He became a bona fide movie star when he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ant-Man in 2015. While Rudd’s known for his youthful appearance and funny guy persona, not many people know about his heritage and how his family descended from Ashkenazi Jews.

Nearly two years ago, LucasFilm announced they were developing a TV series focusing on Lando Calrissian, but we’ve heard absolutely nothing since. What’s going on?
“Those with a good memory (or a love for all things Star Wars / Donald Glover related) probably remember the 2020 announcement that Lando Calrissian would be getting his own show. Very little was known about it (such as whether it would take place before or after the events of Solo: A Star Wars Story), but it was apparently being developed by Justin Simien, the creator of Dear White People. Since then, we have heard next to nothing on the show—and with it not getting any kind of announcement at Star Wars Celebration, people are wondering, what’s the deal?”

MTV Entertainment Studios today announced that USC’s Annenberg Inclusion Initiative will become the long-term home of the Mental Health Storytelling Initiative. The effort was spearheaded last year by Mtve, who brought together a coalition of over 60 entertainment media companies and mental health expert organizations to raise awareness and change the narrative on mental health.
The Mental Health Storytelling Initiative will live as an independent project of the USC’s Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, which will manage its day-to-day programming and resources. The Inclusion Initiative will also conduct an Mtve-funded study to measure the impact of the Mental Health Media Guide. The Media Guide, an online tool introduced by the Mental Health Storytelling Initiative last year, is designed to help content creators develop authentic and nuanced mental health portrayals in entertainment. Mtve will continue to advise on the strategic direction of the Initiative and support efforts to further expand mental health storytelling across the industry.

The subject of teenage depression is generally played for high-octane drama in showbiz. In 2017, “13 Reasons Why” fell under rapid-fire controversy for its inclusion of a graphic suicide scene, which was ultimately removed by Netflix. Conversely, in Hulu’s true crime miniseries “The Girl From Plainville,” the pinnacle suicide scene is kept off-camera. And then there’s “Euphoria,” HBO’s Emmy-winning, millennial-targeted juggernaut charting the disease of addiction in Rue (Zendaya), whose rampant substance abuse-cum-debilitating anxiety is punctuated by police chases, drug lords and toxic teenage love triangles.
But depression isn’t always — or even most of the time — the stuff of season-ending cliffhangers. It’s dull, weighty. It is as heavy as a rock chained to one’s ankle. In the United States, rates of adolescent depression have climbed to epidemic proportions.

Apparently, it was discussed, but Tom Cruise appearing as a variant of Iron Man in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was never a real possibility.
“Few Marvel movies have had as many rumors surrounding them as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. At some point, in some corner of the internet, basically, any Marvel character you can imagine was rumored to be appearing. Spider-Man: No Way Home has already conquered the box office and the hearts of fans across the globe, but now it’s time for it to take over memes, starting with a tentacle-less Doc Ock.
“Doc Ock is one of the more menacing villains in Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery. Not only is he someone that will willingly threaten the life of Aunt May to get to Peter Parker, but he was also first a friend. A mentor turned mind-controlled man with robotic arms, Otto Octavius became the second mad scientist to destroy Peter Parker’s life in the Sam Raimi movies. Played by Alfred Molina, he brought destruction to Peter’s life in the best of ways as a villain, and we loved seeing what Molina brought to the character.”

You’ve probably seen the likes of Inception, Interstellar, and The Dark Knight trilogy from famed director Christopher Nolan, but you should consider watching his underappreciated 2006 film The Prestige.
“For two hours you’re transported to different times and places in a matter of seconds. Decades of advancing technology have improved what we can do with filmmaking to the point where the magic tricks of today would look like science fiction to the directors of yesteryear. But sci-fi looks to the future. What will the coming decades of technological breakthroughs look like? How will humanity relate to new technology? And how far are we willing to go to achieve and exploit those breakthroughs? Christopher Nolan’s 2006 film The Prestige dances with these big questions.”

You know the Wham! song, but here are some fun facts about their smash hit Christmas track “Last Christmas.”
“Over the course of his illustrious career, George Michael gave the world many gifts. One that keeps on giving is ‘Last Christmas,’ the 1984 holiday classic by Wham!, Michael’s pop duo with Andrew Ridgeley. ‘Last Christmas’ is such a uniquely beloved song that it inspired a 2019 film of the same name, and an internet game that people play each holiday season—but that’s just a small part of the ‘Last Christmas’ story.”

Most people are likely aware by now that Tom Selleck and his mustache came precariously close to playing Indiana Jones in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" before Harrison Ford locked down the role. What they might not know, however, is that Peter Coyote nearly donned Indy's famous fedora himself before working on another vintage 1980s Steven Spielberg-directed blockbuster.
As the story goes (via Mental Floss), Coyote — who was a political theater performer and countercultural activist in the years before he started acting in film and TV in the early '80s — auditioned to play...

Former Blade actor Wesley Snipes is excited for Mahershala Ali to take over as the character in the MCU and gave him advice on playing the vampire hunter.
“Recently, Snipes was asked about his thoughts on the recasting, and he rather plainly stated that he supports the casting and that’s all there is to it. ‘The issue of him being cast wasn’t between us,’ Snipes said, ‘I don’t walk around as Blade, so I’m not attached to the character like that.’ Even further, he added that there’s no ’emotional loss’ is not playing the Daywalker again, with the only advice to be that Ali should be to avoid getting hurt and ‘enjoy it while it lasts.'”

Virginie Boireaux, the former head of Playtime’s TV sales and acquisitions, has joined forces with Charades’ former chairman Constantin Briest to launch Have A Good One (Hago), a Paris-based international TV development, co-production and sales company.
Hago is rolling out the new banner at Series Mania with a strong first slate, including “I Killed My Husband,” a six-part thriller from former Empreinte Digitale producer Henri Debeurme (“Lazy Company”), and “Cuisine Interne,” a genre-bending crime thriller drama about a French chef involved with shady partners, from Cinetévé (“Parliament”) and 24-25 Films (“Les Promesses”).
“I Killed My Husband,” which Hago is co-producing on top of handling international sales, is being produced by Debeurme’s new banner Next Episode for the French channel 13th Street. Selected at La Rochelle Fiction Festival, the series stars Erika Sainte as a woman who’s been wrongly accused of murdering her husband, and sets off to prove her innocence.

Fabrizio Salini, who prior to running Rai held top posts at Sky, Fox International Channels, and Discovery Italy, is leaving his post as managing director of the Italian pubcaster — which is the country’s top-rated TV service — at the end of his three-year mandate. During this stint he led Rai through the pandemic, boosted its Rai Play streaming platform which now has 17 million subs (albeit non-paying ones) and oversaw the smashing victory of Italian rock band Maneskin at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Salini spoke to Variety about Rai’s role in Italy’s rapidly changing TV landscape. Excerpts.
Having transitioned from commercial TV to public service at Rai’s the top management level, what’s your main takeaway?
I’ve acquired a more big picture outlook. One that goes beyond product and content. Inevitably as a public service you have to look beyond that to things such as...

“In 2013, filmmaker Steven Soderbergh retired from directing movies. During his brief time off from the theatrical film business, he helmed every episode of an acclaimed television series (The Knick), directed an off-Broadway production (The Library), published a novella on Twitter (Glue), and even began importing and selling his own brand of Bolivian liquor (Singani 63). Clearly, the guy likes to stay busy, always seeking out the next creative challenge to take on or the latest artistic puzzle to solve.”

The latest breakout character of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is an old face, Baron Zemo, whose dance moves in episode 3 captivated the internet.
“I should start this off by saying that, for years, I made fun of our Kaila Hale-Stern and her love of Baron Zemo. She loves him so much, and I just didn’t get it. After the most recent episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I will admit that I was wrong. Zemo was broken out of jail by Bucky Barnes when they needed him to figure out what was happening with some super soldiers, and honestly, Zemo rolling out of jail and putting on a nice coat to get on his private plane is weirdly hilarious.”

Dealing with a surge in Covid-19 cases, France has imposed a nightly curfew in Paris and eight other cities, which could potentially put some film releases and shoots on ice.
Announced by President Emmanuel Macron during a televised address on Wednesday, the curfew will kick off on Saturday and remain in place for six weeks, running from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. every day.
For France’s culture sector — cinemas, plays and other performances — the new rule could be a fatal blow because most evening shows start at 8 p.m. For movie theaters, the curfew will mean that two nightly screenings will have to be axed.

“The New Mutants is out and it looks like people are seeing it, since the film has made $7 million domestically despite, you know, a pandemic. This means there are already scenes being shared from the movie, including several of the character Illyana Rasputina,...

As The Legend of Korra hits Netflix, let’s examine how the Avatar sequel could have been better had it had longer seasons.
“The finale of Avatar: The Last Airbender, definitive and cohesive as it was, providing an end to a villainous regime as its protagonist finally reached his full potential, did offer up one question: Where do we go from here? A war that lasted a century, eradicated an entire culture, decimated another, and subjugated a third would leave its victors and survivors looking for answers and blame, and the world they lived in would never be the same as it once was.”

The Lost Husband is a perfectly bland but perfectly watchable movie that you’ll want to return to time and time again.
“The Lost Husband was actually released in April on VOD, before landing on the streaming service in August, and it probably can be most accurately described as perfectly pleasant. Based on a book by Katherine Center, the Vicky Wight-directed drama is a Nicholas Sparks-style story of a woman finding new love after a tragic loss.”

From Star Trek‘s Uhura to Marvel’s Black Panther movie, science fiction and fantasy have the best representation of Black women out of all media genres.
“Anytime a character is announced with a Black actress playing her or a Black woman is introduced into a popular franchise, the internet is flooded with racist comments from trolls disguised as ‘real fans.’ What these so-called ‘fans’ fail to...

When Sujata Day set out to write her first feature film, Definition Please, her idea was to explore the life of an Indian-American woman who once won a national spelling bee. Rather than have her lead Monica, of whom Day plays in the film, follow a traditionally expected trajectory of becoming a doctor, lawyer, engineer or business executive, she opted for her life to take a different route.
Instead, Monica is the line-in caretaker of her sick mother, and the sparring partner for her estranged brother. What follows for Monica, her brother Sonny (Russian Doll's Ritesh Rajan) and their mother ...

Paris-based Lincoln TV is set to reunite with the creative team behind “Mirage” on a period series about the turbulent life of Sylvia Kristel, the 1970’s sex symbol and star of the erotic film trilogy “Emmanuelle.”
Titled “Sylvia,” the six-part series will be based on Kristel’s 2006 autobiography “Nue” (“Naked”), in which the late actress chronicles her rise and tragic downfall.
Currently at the script stage, the series is being created and penned by Bénédicte Charles and Olivier Pouponneau, who previously wrote “Mirage” with Franck Philippon. Lincoln TV, the well-established banner founded by veteran producers Christine de Bourbon-Busset and Marc Missonnier, has acquired the audiovisual rights to Kristel’s autobiography from the publishing house Cherche-Midi.
The project is currently being shopped to key French channels and Lincoln TV is aiming to partner up with a Flemish co-producer.
“We think the story of Sylvia will strike a chord in the post-MeToo era.

Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul is arguably one of the best written female characters on television right now.
“It’s no secret that AMC’s Better Call Saul is one of the best shows on television right now. In its 5-season run, it’s seemingly done the impossible—not only lived up to the massive reputation of its parent show, Breaking Bad, but, in the minds of some fans,...

Perhaps one of the most disappointing aspect of Avengers: Endgame is its rejection of the found family trope the McU initially appeared to promise.
“For some reason, in the movie where it should have mattered the most, the grand finale that is Avengers: Endgame, the central idea of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was not only forgotten, but soundly rejected. Instead of concluding a decade’s worth of storytelling premised on the notion of the found family by emphasizing the idea, Endgame separates the heroes, both visually and emotionally, at every turn, and completely annihilates the McU’s beloved chosen family in favor of establishing the dominance of the normative one.”
