OK. Point made. The episode starts out with the Neanderthal beating up his wife because she has put up an umbrella style clothesline in the yard. He destroys it because it might get in his way some night. He then shares a beer with a guy in a cowboy hat, apparently a friend. It's one of the few times when there is any conversation in these episodes. Soon they are talking about the joy of killing things and cutting off their heads. The friend has a whole wall full of heads, from cats to sheep. They grunt and spit and pass gas and burp. It is, of course, disturbing but, also, mesmerizing. Once again, we are caught up in the starkness and violence.

Dumbland - A Friend Visits (2002)
*** (out of 4)
If you go through David Lynch's filmography you'll notice weird features and weird shorts. This Dumbland series is weird animation as the director takes a large, deformed man and puts him into various situations.
The large man throws a fit when his wife puts up a clothes line but thankfully a friend pays a visit and the two talk about their love of killing. As I said about the previous short, if you've enjoyed the series up to this point then there's no question that you'll enjoy this one as we get to listen to some rather funny dialogue of the two men talking about killing. Being from Lynch you can obviously expect a dark side and for the most part this is funny and well-made.
