Tracks from The Lion King, Frozen and Tron Legacy have been remixed for a new Disney dance album.
Mat Zo has remixed The Lion King's opening track 'Circle Of Life' into a light drum and bass number, while the accompanying video has received a neon re-working.
Avicii has remixed Daft Punk's 'Derezzed' from the Tron Legacy soundtrack, while Armin van Buuren has turned Frozen's Oscar-winning 'Let It Go' into a club anthem.
The full collection - titled Dconstructed - includes 14 Edm remixes of Disney tracks, from classic films such as Dumbo, Sleeping Beauty and Toy Story.
The album was released in the UK and Us earlier this week.
The full track listing for Dconstructed appears below:
1. 'Circle of Life' (Mat Zo Remix) – Carmen Twillie & Lebo M., The Lion King
2. 'Derezzed' (So Amazing Mix) Remixed by Avicii featuring Negin – Daft Punk Tron: Legacy

Avicii and Kaskade are among the DJs who have reworked some of Disney's classic songs for a remix album.
The LP, called Dconstructed, includes 14 Edm mixes of tracks such as 'Circle Of Life' from The Lion King by Mat Zo, Frozen's 'Let It Go' by Armin van Buuren, and 'Derezzed' from Tron: Legacy by Avicii.
"I feel incredibly honoured to have remixed an Oscar-winning song - though I didn't know that yet when I started," Van Buuren said on his version of 'Let It Go'.
Avicii added: "My first remix of Daft Punk's Tron: Legacy was so long ago, but it was a significant moment of recognition in my career. It's great to be a part of it again, to refresh the track, and to let everyone hear Negin's voice."
Other tracks on the collection include a house version of 'Baby Mine' from Dumbo by Kaskade...

Following her Thanksgiving special, Lady Gaga reunites with The Muppets on the “Muppets Most Wanted” soundtrack. Lady Gaga, her buddy Tony Bennett, and The Muppets perform the meta tune “We’re Doing A Sequel,” which follows Walter, Statler and Waldorf’s sure-to-be-hilarious “They’ve Ordered a Sequel.” Other singers on the soundtrack include Celine Dion, who performs with fellow diva Miss Piggy, Kermits and the whole Muppet gang for “Something So Right” (we’re guessing it’s not the Paul Simon tune of the same name), Josh Groban and Flight of the Conchords’s Jemaine Clement. Among the chestnuts on the album are Scooter and Pepe the King Prawn (remember the shrimp who felt up Lady Gaga in their atrocious Thanksgiving special?) on “Moves Like Jagger,” and Miss Piggy on “Macarena.” Also on the soundtrack, out March 24, are a number of actors who appear in the movie, including Tina Fey,...

Unless you’re the late, great Whitney Houston, it’s tough to perform a “Star-Spangled Banner” that people actually like. Take risks, and you’ll sound too screechy; concentrate on bombastic vocals, and you’ll mess up the words; play it safe, and some may accuse you of being boring. So we can hardly blame The Fray for trying to curry favor by mashing up two things Americans love more than anything: patriotism and the Muppets.

The Movie Pool loves the little felt people in The Muppets Blu-ray!
The Set-up
After years apart, the Muppets (Kermit the Frong, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, you know the rest) reunite to save their old theater from being torn down by greedy oil tycoon Tex Richman (Chris Cooper). Stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams.
Directed by: James Bobin
The Delivery
The Muppets faded in popularity after their heyday throughout the 1980s, which saw a number of theatrical box office hits. The rise of big-budget visual effects films and high-concept children's entertainment left little room in the modern world for Jim Henson's kids. However, the recent recession and a flood of disappointing original ideas from Hollywood seems to have made audiences feeling nostalgic for some solid entertainment from their past. It seems now is the perfect time for the Muppets to return to save us from boring CGI epics and reality show sensibilities,...

The Muppets
Directed by: James Bobin
Cast: Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Amy Adams, Jason Segel, Chris Cooper
Running Time: 1 hr 38 mins
Rating: PG
Release Date: November 23, 2011
Plot: Walter (voice of Peter Linz) dreams of hanging out with the Muppets, and now with the help of his brother Gary (Segel), they have a chance of bringing Kermit, Miss Piggy and the whole gang together to save Muppet Studios.
Who’S It For? If you are nostalgic for the Muppets, you’ll be thrilled to see this film and hopefully share it with your whole family.
Expectations: Having Segel excited to bring the Muppets back to life on the big screen was enough for me to hold out hope that the Muppets could return to the pop culture forefront. That’s where they are going, right? I would love a new Muppet movie every three to four years.

A lot has been made of Jason Segel's attempt to create, with "The Muppets," a movie that measures up to the "original trilogy" -- "The Muppet Movie," "The Great Muppet Caper" and "The Muppets Take Manhattan" -- but one key element that often doesn't get mentioned is the music involved.
Any Muppets material looking to match those three titans has a tough musical row to hoe given the way songs like "The Rainbow Connection," "Movin' Right Along" and "Saying Goodbye" have been seared into the minds of a generation for decades. The bad news is that the soundtrack to "The Muppets" doesn't live up to those lofty standards. The good news is that, divorced of comparison to its predecessors, it's still a charming collection of original songs, covers, odds and ends that'll please Muppet fans interested in taking home a piece of the movie.

The Muppets meant to say they’re done with the parody portion of their advertising — except for print. Den of Geek has an exclusive look at three posters for The Muppet Saga: There’s the Edward-esque Vamphibian (Kermit), Bella Swine (Miss Piggy), and WereRowlf (clearly long-haired and shirtless like Jacob in the early films).

I must have eaten too much Halloween candy last night, because I had this disturbing dream that my beloved Muppets were on WWE’s Monday Night Raw. Jack Swagger was threatening to turn Piggy into a ham sandwich, Gonzo’s arms got stretched out of their sockets, and Cody Rhodes put a bag over Kermit’s head. “It was bad enough that Hugh Jackman took over our show,” sneered Vickie Guerrero. “Now we have to share out airtime with a bunch of livestock?”
Wait, what? It really happened? Watch below:
Too much Beaker, not enough Animal, for this crowd. And where was Mad Man Mooney?...

Did you enjoy The Muppets’ parody of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? How about their spoof of The Green Lantern? Too bad — The Muppets are done (done!) with mock trailers. Or, as they say in their newest teaser, “This now completes the parody portion of our advertising.”
That’s not to say they don’t get a few more spoofs in: The final parody trailer pokes fun at Paranormal Activity, Puss In Boots (why is there no cat Muppet?!), and Breaking Prawn, which might just be more tolerable than the original for some of us. Watch the trailer starring...

The Muppets are everywhere. In our music videos, in Emmy award-winning TV shows, and in a respectable number of movie trailers. So it’s surprising that in The Muppets’ new trailer, Rashida Jones tells our furry friends, “You guys aren’t famous anymore.”
So begins their quest to reclaim relevance. And how do they do so? Via a world tour, many rehearsals, and singing chickens. Watch the trailer for the Jason Segel-Amy Adams-starring comedy after the jump — it’s so cute, I’m willing to forgive them for joining the “F— You” party one year too late.

Music and Muppets go hand in hand and if one song from Kermit can reduce grown men to tears then as the new Muppet movie nears our cinemas it’s time for some of the popular tracks from the Muppets’ previous movies and episodes to get the cover treatment with The Green Album.
There are some old favourites among the new tracks with Ok Go’s rendition of the Muppet Theme getting the whole shebang off to an unconventional start, proving a divisive version of the classic tune. Alkaline Trio’s Movin’ Right Along is a jaunty punk cover of the Fozzie/Kermit duet from The Muppet Movie and it demands a replay or two and will end up in your head but leave it to The Fray to cover the infamous Mahna-Mahna which is likely clamped to your subconscious already. It works as a track, though it’s not...
