The Chinese farmers fight the evil Japanese opium growers
ckormos15 December 2015
It starts with a poorly choreographed and executed fight sequence off a boat. For the story, Little Unicorn is a come day go day kind of guy hanging out with the waitresses while his dad and the crew work as farmers. The opium growers want to plant his land for an easy cash crop. Dad disapproves. Little Unicorn tries to get the property deed but gets caught. The evil Japanese are also behind the opium growing operation so that makes double dipped evil. Dad's death leads to the last 25 minutes of almost non-stop fighting. Even with some girl fighters and weapons added the fights do not improve much over the poor opening sequence. I've seen Little Unicorn and Mang Fei in other movies where they delivered the action but this movie was below average for fans of the genre.
